I have never been treated more poorly by customer service then I was treated tonight by the Krogerâs customer service line. The customer service lady âAureaâ laughed at my situation ( The pump did not pump my gas into my car but took the money off my gift card.) when I mentioned it was only 4 dollars she laughed!! Times are hard people are struggling I already donât feel good about myself that I can only put 4 dollars in my tank and I donât need someone making me feel worse!! She made me feel belittled and ashamed. So I immediately asked to speak with the supervisor. The supervisor told me she couldnât refund my money onto the gift card and then said âu only got 1 gallon of gasâ and I said yes which it should have gave me like 25-30 miles and she said âyou get 30 miles from only one gallon?â Very sarcastically like she didnât believe me. I said yes I get somewhere near 30 miles a gallon I donât know exactly but I drive a 2019 Kia forte and I can Google it for you if you want me to find out exactly but I have NO REASON TO LIE. She again told me she couldnât refund my money which I told her âthat is Fine but the reason I asked to speak to you was because of the way your employee spoke to me.â I told her she laughed at my situation and made me feel horrible, This supervisor had the BALLS to say âIâm sorry YOU felt that wayâ ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Not, I am sorry she said that to you or I am sorry she made u feel like that . She wasnât sorry for the way her employee treated me, she didnât care! It was just 4 dollars and I ainât even mad that Iâm not getting it back itâs the way I was treated by people who are PAID to help me! I will NEVER EVER go to Kroger again. I know I am one person and I donât matter on the big spectrum but customer service shouldnât be allowed to treat customers the way I was treated and I REFUSE to spend anymore of my money at a company who treats people who are less fortunate like TRASH. I am not trash and I work very hard for every penny I make and I deserve to be treated with a little more dignity...
   Read moreMy family has been shopping at Kroger for over 30 years and have had mostly positive experiences with the company. However, a few weeks ago we purchased a $200 Amazon gift card only to find out someone else had already redeemed it. Kroger was quick to say it was not their problem and that we had to take it up with Amazon. Amazon gave us the same story saying there was nothing they could do and we would have to take it up with Kroger. When I called back to Kroger I spoke with 3 different people before finally convincing them I needed to speak to a manager. Everyone before the manager basically said there was nothing that could be done and that you just have to eat the $200 so just accept that. The manager I was put in touch with was Gregory Milner. He seemed genuine and eager to help, but it turned out he was just telling me what I wanted to hear and really had no interest in helping at all. He promised to elevate the case, but seemingly never did since nobody followed up with me. He promised an update, but never did that either.
Bottom line, DO NOT buy gift cards from Kroger unless you want extreme disappointment and no money back if things go wrong. They will not help you, they have no interest in taking care of your concerns, and definitely are very deceptive on the sales of these cards. They do not tell you that you will eat the money if the card does not work even if it is not your fault someone else already redeemed the card.
I plan to contact Kroger corporate next and get the BBB involved next. I have no faith Kroger will make it right, but what they are doing to their customers is wrong and they should not have a customer service department if they are not interested in helping customers.
This experience will be lasting for me and rest assured I will remember this. I will plan on shopping elsewhere in the future. I want to make sure as many people as possible have this information so they do not have to endure the same pain that we...

So this is my reasoning for this 5 star review. âIDAâ This wonderful lady amazes me everytime sheâs working the self checkout lanes near the home entrance. She goes ABOVE & BEYOND!! whether sheâs just doing her duties she manages to multitask rather quickly while sheâs assisting customers, she steadily maintains FAST IN AND OUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sheâs the sweetest woman that Iâve met in the entire region of ALL DAYTON STORES! Itâs a shame that â HARD TO FIND HONEST EMPLOYEES AS HER ARE OFTEN OVERLOOKED.
