Just wrapped up my dinner and I'm shocked to see a 4.8 rating, given that my own experience, plus the 3 other tables nearby (outside) were all essentially very disgruntled.
Prices: Way too high Portions: Way too small
I'm sure fine diners would create the narrative that this is the setting of fine food. Sorry, the food was foul, not fine. I ordered a $15 broccolini that came out (2 pieces) smeared in bread crust and essentially vinaigrette dressing. My wife order $30 shrimp gnocchi that was forgettable and smaller than a cat dish.
Service: Our waitress never spoke louder than a whisper and my order came out completely wrong and needed to be corrected. She never offered us the standard table bites (bread and sticks). Nothing was offered as compensation, and the correct order was never rushed. By the time the correct food came out, my wife was completely done. I said no thank you to my order and was happy to leave with only broccolini in my stomach. Just happy to get out of there. The only offer was to take the long awaited main (clam pasta) home. The portion looked even smaller in a to-go container without the mirage of an oversized plate. There might have been 5 clams in that pasta.
Management: The owner or manager, was completely smooching his high roller tables inside, making sure their every need was met. Tables that were sat down 1/2 hr after us were lavishly served and checked on. He made eye contact with me several times with no regard.
Check: No adjustments made.

Read moreBaiablu is the kind of place that makes you pause as soon as you walk in. The decor is beautiful—every piece, from the lighting to the chairs, is imported from Italy, and it shows. There’s an authenticity and warmth in the space that immediately sets the tone: you're not just here to eat, you're here to experience something.
The food is rooted in Southern Italian cuisine, and it delivers. I started with the Salmone Carpaccio, which was light, clean, and incredibly refreshing. The freshly squeezed lemon juice served as a dressing added just the right brightness—simple but memorable.
For the main course, I went with the Nerano pasta. It was exquisite. Rich, balanced, and comforting without being heavy. The kind of dish that makes you stop mid-bite to appreciate how good it really is.
What really elevates Baiablu, though, is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuine—they make you feel like part of the family. Giorgio, the owner, personally checked in to ensure everything was perfect, and it was.
There’s also a beautiful back patio that’s opening soon, and I can already tell it’s going to be one of the best spots in town.

The menu is a masterpiece, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients that bring out rich and balanced flavors in every dish. The cacio e pepe was light yet incredibly tasteful, striking the perfect balance of creaminess and spice.
