I've had the worst experience with this jeweler. I took a pocket watch that has been in my family for three generations, to have the glass cover replaced, and one of the little hands was missing. I specifically told Denise that the watch did not need to work, I just needed it to look in good condition. After many weeks she contacted me via text and told me they were still working on the machine. I told her that I did not want to run up costs, what I was interested was in it being brought back to nice condition, even if it did not work. Then after many more weeks she told me they had been unable to repair and I should go pick it up. The watch had a little mechanism that you pressed and the cover would open. We had a hard time opening it. Denise who has seen this pocket watch twice in her life, became patronizing attempting to teach me how to open a watch that I have opened hundreds of times from my mother and grandmothers gold chain. The top had been dented. When we opened it, although the porcelain face had been shattered in the past at the number 6, it was shattered at the number 3 and all over. The watch had been dropped for sure. She kept saying this how they had received it but thankfully I have the photos she had taken herself. I was so upset I had to leave. This is a disgrace to me and my family. Even if I wanted them to replace it how could they? This was a treasure and I wanted to preserve as best I could and took it to H & H thinking it was a reliable place. Thank you Ximena! Today I discovered my new favorite jewelry store in Miami! I have been looking for a new silver chain for two months (not a particularly high-priced ticket item) for a special heart-chakra charm of mine because my original chain broke. And, because the chakra has a very small threading hole, it’s been almost impossible to find a chain that will hold it. When I entered H&H’s beautiful showroom I was concerned that my small-priced request would be underwhelming to a sales person in such a beautiful store. But, boy was I wrong. The store rep, Ximena, greeted me with the most friendly smile and sincere interest in helping me. And when we realized none of their silver chains in stock would fit my chakra, instead of giving up, Ximena took my old chain and had it expertly repaired in the back of their store - all while making me feel like a valued customer, as if I were buying one of their beautiful watches or other pieces. Today my chakra is renewed and my heart and spirit lifted. And I will be back to the store to shop and show my gratitude for Ximena and the other staff who treated me and my little chakra with such kindness and urgency. Nowadays people are so quick to post negative reviews when they have a bad experience at a business.
