Caña - The Cuban Flare Restaurant on the second floor of The Hyatt Centric Brickell is EXTRAORDINARY.
From the ease of the valet (if you know how stressful Brickell can be, you know how great this is) to the delectable Dessert - this meal was Perf.
My Wife and I haven't been out to many places because of Covid so I was a little nervous but prepared. I brought wipes and sanitizer in case. It wasn't needed. They were so cautious and thorough with their cleaning practices. On our way to our table they cleaned the area once again and there were little disinfectant sprays in each table. All the staff wore gloves and masks and I saw them constantly changing their PPE while serving patrons. I felt safe.
The inside seating was plush and comfy but it was a beautiful cool night so we had to sit outside to take in the Nice views of Brickell.
Lets get to the FOOD AND THE SERVICE!!
Ubbi was our waitess. Knowledgeable, Fun, and Attentive. I loved her recommendations on appetizers. Delish!
We started with a few Apps: The Chicharones De Viento ** Air Fried Pork Rinds. Lightly seasoned. No grease. Light as Air. Look out for when they squeeze the lime on top at the table the crackle gets you excited to try it.
The Camarones Al Ajillo - Que Rico! Plump Big Shrimp. Its a must! Such a pretty presentation.
The Toston de Ceviche was pleasing for all senses. The Ceviche was so fresh.
Our entrees were perfect pairings to the Apps.
I had the Pescado a la Plancha. The Red Snapper was Amazing. The Crispy Skin was superb.
My Wife had the Vaca Frita. She didn't share because it was so good. Delicate but so flavorful according to the Mrs.
We shared the Mango-Guava Cheesecake which was the perfect ending to a delectable and palatable meal.
Olivia the manager, hosted the evening impeccably. Dancing between tables flawlessly making everyone feel like they had been there a hundred times. I loved that.
I can't wait to...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I’ve been to thousands of restaurants in my time traveling across America, it’s part of my job. I also NEVER eat at hotel restaurants due to the nature of our group preferring authentic dining experiences. On an incredibly rare basis I will find myself at an establishment where people of varying cultural backgrounds personally share their values and culinary preferences to shift our experience in line with our shared food ideals. Food has always been a place of common culture and humanitarianism in my experience. A great way to step out of the box. Per recommendation, my friends and I decided to step out of our comfort zone and try Caña, the hotel restaurant. We were greeted by a few staff members but were officially waited on by Hajar. I lack the words to describe how incredibly adept the attention to detail from Hajar was in creating a perfectly curated experience. We were persuaded towards certain recommendations and Hajar absolutely exceeded our dining expectations and welcomed us to a place of excellence. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. If you want to excite your senses, venture away from your normal dining experience and seek a curated dining experience, I suggest with urgency to venture to Caña and prepare yourself for one of the best...
Read moreI was staying at the Hyatt Centric on Brickell Bay Road and decided to try their Cuban restaurant Cana. All i can say is WOW! Upon exiting the elevators, you enter a very chic establishment. They have indoor or outdoor seating which is nice. The bar is in the center. It the perfect size. They have big windows and a selection of booth and tables. I actually dined there twice. Once for lunch where i had the power lunch for $12. I got the fish, beans and rice with a soft drink for $12. That was an insanely low price for this lunch. The fish was grouper and it was cooked to perfection with a lemon butter and caper sauce. My mouth was singing! The service was good. Each server is really busy but you should expect that and appreciate them just being there. I went a second time for dinner and ordered the dinner portion $32. I ate every bite! They can cook fish so well and this time i tried the flan dessert. It was mouth watering and very authentic. I plan on visiting Miami often and will return whether i stay at The Hyatt Centric or not. Thumbs up for delicious food and...
