As a loyal World of Hyatt member, I recently had the pleasure of staying at the remarkable Hyatt Centric Brickell, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
First and foremost, the cleanliness and overall presentation of the rooms left us truly impressed. The attention to detail was evident, and we felt an immediate sense of comfort and luxury. The well-appointed accommodations provided a serene retreat after a long day of exploring the vibrant city of Miami.
The front desk staff at Hyatt Centric Brickell were consummate professionals. They were warm, attentive, and efficient, making our check-in process seamless. Their knowledge of the local area and willingness to assist with any inquiries or requests was truly commendable. Their friendly demeanor created an inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
The valet service at this hotel was exceptional. The valets were prompt, courteous, and handled our vehicle with utmost care. If you want to find somewhere to stay comfortably or at least find a space to stay at all instead of being thrown out into the street like a homeless person in Miami!! Avoid this hotel!!!
TLDR: We arrived at the hotel at 1:00am at night, and hotel told us our room is already sold since we arrived too late. However, we informed the hotel that we will be arrive late. Which they later fessed up being an overbooking issue.
No problem, but at least accomdate us by giving us a space to stay when it’s a blatant hotel problem. Here’s the normal procedure from Hyatt Global themselves: Find a hotel nearby for us to stay, and send us to there, refund original hotel stay and comp the additional. Hyatt Centric Special Procedure: Uh Oh, Nearby Hotels are all sold out (they confirmed this many times), we can’t help you in anyway, soooooorry But here’s the problem, by Using the Marriott app, we found a room!!! But it was 3:00am. And we told the front desk, why is there a room but you can’t find it, they said they don’t know.
Their response to this was no comp, just credit returns and stopped answering all commutations. AND the attitude of the manager is “you should thank us for the refund”. Even though, we have not yet received the refund yet. And now we have to pay out of pocket for a second hotel room that should’ve been covered by Hyatt.

My stay, which was intended to be enjoyable, turned into a frustrating ordeal due to the incompetence and lack of professionalism displayed by your front desk staff, particularly during the night shift.
Upon checking in, I was informed by the front desk attendant that my reservation had been canceled and a new one had been created. However, upon further investigation, it was revealed that this was not the case. This error caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and when I reached out to your customer service, the response I received was far from satisfactory.
The representative I spoke to not only failed to acknowledge the mistake made by your staff but astonishingly shifted the blame onto me, stating that it was my fault for the front desk's failure to execute their responsibilities properly. This level of disregard for customer concerns is unacceptable and tarnished my perception of the quality of service at Hyatt.
Furthermore, the lack of coordination between your front desk and call center creates a disjointed and unprofessional atmosphere. It seems as if these two entities operate as separate entities, rather than working cohesively to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
The absence of follow-up and promised callbacks further demonstrates a lack of care for your customers. Despite assurances that I would be contacted regarding the issues I raised, there was no communication from your end. This negligence only adds to the frustration and disappointment I experienced during my stay.
I spent a significant amount, totaling $2000, that weekend, expecting a level of service and professionalism befitting a hotel of Hyatt's caliber. Unfortunately, the numerous shortcomings in my experience have left me with no desire to patronize any of your hotels in the future.
