A great idea, but the execution is lackluster. Firstly, Let's start with the good. The design of Central fare is very Art Deco with fantastic cosmopolitain styling. Warm light and dark woods greet you throughout the facility. Music pumping into the facility is peppy, warm, and Inviting. Ample spaces to sit and do work and be proactive abound throughout the facility. Prices are average if not reasonable throughout the facility and are a great compliment to the Brightline station connected on the Mezzanine level.
However, that's where the praise ends. The entire facility is dead, when I say dead, you could definitely confuse Central Fare for a dead mall if you didn't know it had recently opened for business less than a year ago. The lack of a proper execution seems to be the issue here (Do we really need 3 breakfast places that all serve the same coffees and pastries? Empty bar space is confusing and makes you wonder if there was alot of thought put into what central fare SHOULD BE!). The lack of a consistent timing isn't helping either. Only open Monday - Friday from 7AM-7PM? As one of the highlight facilities in Downtown you'd expect this place to be open on the weekends, even open late during the friday/saturday rush... A true travesty and it shows. I sat down for three hours during the middle of the week 11AM-1PM and noticed maybe less than 50 people passed through central fare. I hope to revisit this location and increase the rating, but for the time being it's a lost cause.
Central Fare would do well to work alongside Time Out magazine in bringing this food hall...
Read moreThis is the third time they attempt to make this a trendy eating hall. I've been around since before covid work literally across the street. The other two times they closed for the same reasons. At best this a a mall food hall with mediocre food, service and ambiance with prices of a sit down restaurant. Peppi sandwich provided a cold, hard bread pastrami for sandwich only $19. I've read the review for El Turco and the looks of the food I saw were not appetizing. At best this is a fast food minimum the food fans are not working since it smells like frying oil. Same facilities so no new look just worn out. I will distinguish JOE the JUICE who delivers quality food, impeacable service, drinks are always good and very affordable. Food is equal to price as is Rossetta Italian bakery. Their sanwiches are well priced and deliver quality. Reason they've been here since before covid. Peppi service was depressing the cook was hanging outside the order taker lost. Epic fail so read reviews before you decide to come here spend $30 and walk out with...
Read moreBrightline's Central Fare Food Collective is now a popular dining destination located within the MiamiCentral Station. It is similar to Miami's Julia & Henry's food hall but with a more modernistic decor and design. It is very clean and open. This is great for travelers who will be able to satisfy their hunger as soon ss they get off the Brightline.
There are large signs to guide you to the 12 restaurants that have opened here. It has been well thought out. My daughter and I ate at El Turco Express a couple of days ago on Friday and enjoyed the Michelin experience of Turkish food there. There is also Wolf of Tacos who has a very good reputation in Miami for making delicious tacos but they are $5 for a small taco. Peppi's is also located here and serves good Italian food. We plan to go back soon and see what other restaurants are there.
There are parking garages available as well as limited...
