We booked a 4 day stay for three people in a two bedroom flat. The awful service from the reception desk made my stay a nightmare.
We had a couple of issues with maintanence on the flat during our stay. One of the main reasons I picked the flat was because it had large windows and seemed airy. But two of the windows were broken and did not open, and after asking several times about it with vague responses, I was told that they were not meant to be open (despite having a latch to do so). The living shades didnt roll up. It took three days, a chat with the online service, talking to 3 recepcionists and finally standing in the reception desk looking at the recepcionist until he finally called maintanece. They partially fix the problem leaving it almost open with no option to close it.
The receptionist desk service was awful. The recepcionists, were non receptive to any of our requests. They acted as if they were doing us a favour just for looking at us. For example, on our first day, we asked for directions to Ocean Drive. The receptionist told us he did not take public transport and could only recommend Uber. Then asked why we wanted to go there if we had everything we could want close by.
All the toiletries and amenities described as available at the apartment are minimal. Empty shower gel, shampoo and conditioner bottles. For three passengers, for 4 days, we got pouches with sugar and edulcorant, one decaf coffee bag and one regular coffee bag. When I asked for more, they didn't have any in hand. No filters for the coffee machine, no paper towels, no toilet paper replacement, one small bag of detergent for one use of the laundry machine, and one small bag of detergent for one use of the dishwasher. For the price paid for a two bedroom flat, all this seems just petty. The flat was prepared for someone staying longer and is going to be equiping the flat in full.
At first glance, everything was clean, but we had to move the couch, which had never been moved to clean. There was a shoe beneath it. A on off cleaning service was available on request for a $150 fee. No...

Upon arrival, we were informed that our room wouldn’t be ready for a few hours—which was completely understandable, as we knew check-in time was later. We headed to the lobby to rest after over a day and a half of travel, exhausted but still excited to begin our stay.
Within minutes of sitting down, a security woman approached me and told me I had to sit upright. Although surprised, I complied and asked politely if my posture was acceptable. Instead of answering calmly, she snapped her fingers at me and said, “Whatever you're doing, you can't do this,” with noticeable irritation.
Still trying to rest, I put on my sunglasses to relax my eyes—having barely slept in nearly two days. She then raised her voice across the lobby, snapped her fingers again, and said, “You can’t close your eyes. Take off your sunglasses.”
Not only was this unnecessarily aggressive, but it was also humiliating to be publicly called out in a space meant to feel welcoming. I was shocked by the hostility and lack of basic courtesy. If this is the attitude of someone meant to ensure safety and guest comfort, I honestly don’t understand how she represents the values of this hotel.
What was supposed to be a moment of recovery turned into an uncomfortable, degrading experience. This was my first impression of the property, and unfortunately, it has already tainted the rest of my stay.
Whether it’s because this is a residence-style hotel or not, I would hope the leadership does not condone this kind of treatment toward their guests. But from the repeated rude encounters with this same security staff member, it sadly feels like this behavior is not an isolated incident—but a norm.

Read moreThe WORST hotel experience of my life. We spent 2 hours circling the block to find the parking, and the desk receptionist kept acting like we were idiots for not understanding where to go, when he wouldn't even share any details on how to navigate the completely foreign labyrinthine streets to get there. After the 4th time around the block, he tells us to "park" up front so he can explain to us where to go, even though there was nowhere to park but the SIDEWALK. Our "view" was a shadow-ridden pit of on-going construction that went on for all hours of the day, night, and morning, and the curtains are designed in a way you can fully block any of the light. All staff were rude/unhelpful, aside from the custodian, yet she couldn't speak enough English to fully help with our questions or issues. The TV is juat full of obscure channels, so no pleasant or familiar shows to relax to, and the bed was tucked away in a hot, stuffy corner, facing the bright lights of the construction out the window wall. When we went to check out, no one was there to check us out. After 15 minutes, we're told by someone, I suppose works the Air BnB(?) to use the kiosk, so we do so. It tells us there's an issue and we need to see a staff member... So finally frustrated beyond belief, I just set the cards down and try to leave, but you can't access the elevators without a key. Alright, we'll use the stairs... Where are they? Who knows... After way too long, and now 30 minutes late to my job site, someone else had to use the elevator, so we were able to go to the 6th floor then. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I give the shower a 5/5, though....
