I was in town for a work event and Earl's was right across the street from my hotel. I am pescatarian and most menus have one or two things I can eat, but Earl's had a bunch, so I ended up going there three nights in a row. Here's my feedback. Service: The service was stellar. The first few weeks of a new restaurant can be tough, but everyone, from the hostess to the servers to the managers, who always came over the say hello, were friendly, welcoming and engaging. Atmosphere: Also stellar. One of the reasons I picked Earl's was the amazing outside patio. Lush vegetation, super comfy seating, a really fabulous place to enjoy a meal. The last night the outside was wet so I had to sit indoors. Still lovely ambiance. The music was a little loud for my taste, but I had just come from an event so I was a little over the hub bub. Food: Ok, so here I gave it 4 stars. I was to say that everything I had was delicious, but some things were better than others. The first night I had the charred corn and avocado dip. So scrumptious! I could have eaten that again and again. For dinner I had the Udon noodle bowl with Ahi. Also a winner. Night one was the best of the three nights food-wise. Night two I started with the crispy rice sushi with tuna (they were out of salmon), very yummy, but a little plain on top and could have use some additional garnishes. For dinner, I had the ahi tuna poke bowl. Exceptional. Flavorful, filling and lots going on. The last night, I just had a garden burger with fries. The fries were perfect. Thin, hot, crispy, everything you want in a fry. The burger was ok. I got it with avocado and some of the avocado was too hard to eat. The burger itself was hot and obviously made to order, but it was too salty. Finally, I am a beer drinker. This was probably my biggest issue. Now I get it, Miami is not a big beer town, but everything else on the menu was so curated and thoughtful, but the beer selections were very bland. I had a Stella the first night. They were out of that the second and third night, and out of Corona the third night. Its a small gripe, but having some great craft beers on the menu would bring it in line with the amazing line up of food they...
Read moreThis review can easily scale to 5 stars. This location has the usual issues a new place has. Food was a hit and miss for us. Charred corn dip was TOP, shrimp dumplings delicious, birria tacos OK and truffle fries left much more to be desired; appetizers came real fast (That's ++) The problem came with our carne tacos which were good but the meat itself was ice cold, if that's how they supposed to come out, warm would make the dish x10 better. Drinks could been also better, I left my spritz watered down and margarita was subpar. Enjoyable though. Service wise, everyone was friendly and attitude was great. That being said, there's a huge room to grow in communication between FOH, knowledge of the menu & knowledge of the overall function of the restaurant. Details we encountered: Glasses were not set up when we sat. The runner didn't know which dish was special (GF for celiac) and put down food right away. I had to double check. Asked for a soda, as soon as it came I asked if it was canned or fountain, she was unsure so she told me she would bring a canned one. I left the pop to the side for being picked up (To make the switch) but no one did. A while after, came a second one, after expressing I wanted only one, the runner said we could have it as it was a spare one. I said OK. Later on, we had 2 sodas in the bill. Again, I believe communication mistakes that are very fixable. Some more efficacy at cleaning up dirty dishes and refilling water bottles would be appreciated. At the time of the check, I noticed the "admin fee" of 2%. Once I asked what this was (as it didn't say on the bill) I was told that they didn't know. Just like that . The crew needs to be more knowledgeable about what's happening. Sky was our server, she's really sweet and her attitude is on point I'll be back as all these things are fixable, I want to try more of the menu and the ambiance...
Read moreABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Earls Kitchen is a MUST go to. The place is such an adorable, elegant, friendly environment. The ENTIRE staff is GORGEOUS!!! Not ONE person is an eyesore. The female's are neatly uniformed with NO LONG fingernails or wild colors or designs. They all have very sheek poinytils or buns. We chose to seat outside. It was hot obviously, its Miami lol, but tye seating arrangement for outside was well thought out. You weren't directly in the sun and they decorated the lounge chair seating with a significant amount of plants. So it was cool. Our server for the early evening was Nikko (apologies if I misspelled your name). I could tell it was his first day due to his nervousness, and a few minor mistakes when taking our order, but I kindly assured him that he is doing just fine and to just be himself. After about 20 minutes or so, he found his groove and was exceptionally well with his service for us. After dining a wonderfully fulfilling meal and lovely dessert, I utilized the restroom to freshen up. I thought the outside patio was GORGEOUS....the inside was like a whole other restaurant lol. The vibe was like an upscale day party. The ambiance was giving Bohemian style with that laid back soft, yet a little bounce type of house music. Very sheek indeed. The bathroom was IMMACULATE!!! Super clean and sweet smelling. Spacious, beautiful, and cozy. I took many pictures with the mirrors lol. An overall lovely experience.
