El Tiesto Cafe Miami — Restaurant in Miami

Tiesto used to be a better experience, the vibe was definitely better than now. Went in June 2021 for a birthday celebration. Reservations are recommended, as we had reservations, so we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. However, this place is becoming a joke they are trying to treat it like it’s a nightclub more than a restaurant! They have changed their seating so now the tables closest to the DJ (from what they told us) require bottle service wit a group of 7 it required a 2 bottle minimum and a group of 5 a 1 bottle and consumption requirement AND also they have a two hour maximum stay, like okay!!!! Mind you this was not an evening reservation nor was this like a mimosa unlimited service where most restaurants have a two hour limit of unlimited drinking etc. Since it was a reservation during the day we were thrown off!!! Besides it’s not like most people plan on staying after two hours it’s still a restaurant, so the host telling us that just irked us. Our waitress was friendly, but despite our group of 5 ordering drinks and the food together, our drinks didn’t come out together but the ABSOLUTE WORST was that our food came out ONE dish at a time so one person had no choice to eat and finish before the next person’s dish came out. Even if one person wanted to wait for the rest the other food never came out and so no choice but to eat or be stuck eating cold food. Literally like a 10-15 min wait between plates. We asked why our food was not coming out together but they had no answers. Frankly I don’t think they cared. So to say the least this was not the greatest experience at Tiesto! I’ve previously gone to Tiesto and was never this way, before I didn’t mind paying the over priced dish and drink prices, however after this experience definitely won’t be returning! It’s over hyped and they are definitely now more interested in the hype and being more of a club versus what they were, a restaurant that had better standards for their service and food.

Gave it 3 stars because the food is okay, when you finally get it that is!! I’ve also ordered through UberEats to go and I stopped ordering to go, because they messed up the order got the wrong food so I said I wouldn’t be ordering to go since it’s wasn’t a good experience and I’d try in person instead but after this last in person experience. Forget it!

This place has such horrible customer service.

My friends and I went about 30 minutes to closing and we were told the kitchen is closing soon so we need to order fast.

As we sat down our waitress, Paola, gathered our orders and did NOT review the order after collecting our orders.

Everyone, but one of my friends, received their order. When we confronted Paola about the missing order, she proceeded to tell us that we never placed my friend’s order! Which is a complete lie!

We asked if we can place the order. Paola’s response was “the kitchen is closed.” The kitchen closed two seconds after bringing our meals? We proceeded to speak with the manager, JP. He fought with us and told us the same thing.

After two minutes of fighting with JP, he stomped away and told the kitchen to make the order. Once we received the bill, a 20% GRATUITY WAS ADDED TO THE BILL! I’m one to OVER tip, but with crappy service 20% was NOT deserved.

We confronted JP once again and we asked to remove the gratuity as at the end of the day, GRATUITY IS NOT MANDATORY! Once again, JP had a nasty attitude when we asked to remove the fee. He yanked the receipt away from us and stormed to the register. We were able to get our concerns met AFTER FIGHTING AND YELLING WITH THE MANAGER.

I was told by many people how great this place is, the food is good, which was mediocre, the vibes are immaculate. I was not given any of that experience. I work in the service industry. I know how infuriating it can be to have clients come in close to closing. ISN’T IT SMATER TO MAKE MONEY RATHER THAN TURN IT DOWN???

Whoever is hr at this place needs to reevaluate their team because exceptionally well service was not provided.

Our experience at El Tiesto Cafe was nothing but dissatisfaction, attitudes, and discomfort. For my Friend's birthday, we decided to make a reservation there for later that night, we had a little inconvenience on the road and I even forgot to call them that we were arriving late. As soon we arrived, we received an attitude from the hostess, they could not sit us because the whole group wasn't there since we drove all over from west palm beach and different cars but we knew the whole group was coming. the manager came and talk to us and even the manager had a little attitude with sarcasm saying if our friends had the same problem as us on the road which is not a professional thing to say after our tire exploded in the middle of i95 and he continued to be rude about everyone. To the point we wanted to leave the place, we decided to stay and check out the place since one of our friends from the group said the food was amazing and the vibes. As soon as we sat down services were slow it took like 10 minutes to get our drinks and we have to pull out another server to get ours and even additional stuff. to get our check it was a whole situation. Since the beginning part of the group wanted to do separate checks, once the check arrived, we asked our server if we could get the check separately and she said no it would not let her, took her another 15 minutes to close our tap. Some of the group did not enjoy the experience since the beginning of how the manager and hostess treated us and some of them got sick from the food. Overall, the EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Especially after driving from west palm beach expecting a good time. I would never recommend this...
