I don’t want to be too harsh, but i believe constructive feedback is essential for the growth and success of any business, especially one that seems to be in its early stages. Here are my observations, hoping they will serve as guidance for improvement:
Internal organization: It’s clear that the kitchen lacks efficient coordination. I noticed one of the staff members bringing out raw meat on a kitchen spatula to prepare it directly on the counter. This not only raises hygiene concerns but also affects service efficiency.
Cash register management: It was surprising to see kitchen staff leaving their station to check on orders at the front. This suggests a lack of clearly defined roles, causing unnecessary disruptions and delays.
Wait time: Although it’s supposed to be a fast-food establishment, we had to wait nearly 20 minutes for our order. This creates frustration for customers expecting quick service.
Inconsistent quality: My husband and I both ordered the same double classic bacon burger, but each one tasted completely different. One of them was overloaded with cold ketchup and mustard, revealing a lack of preparation standards.
Product quality: The buns were cold, the meat was overly salty, and the fries were almost burnt. These small issues significantly impacted our overall experience.
Missed opportunities: I appreciate that they use grass-fed beef and avoid inflammatory oils, which is a great differentiator. However, these benefits lose value when the overall product falls short.
Recommendation for improvement: I suggest implementing a procedural manual to standardize kitchen processes and ensure consistency in every dish. Training staff for specific roles will help avoid confusion and streamline workflow. Additionally, reviewing seasoning and cooking times is essential to ensure each burger meets customer expectations. With these adjustments, they could leverage their quality ingredients and turn this concept into a real success. I'm confident that with a bit more organization and attention to detail, they could offer a far more...
Read moreI waited before posting review, because I wanted to also rate on consistency of my order.. so far, every time I have ordered, the smash burger has been consistent on taste & quality.. This has become one of my favorite smash burgers in Miami. I’m surprised to see some people say it’s not.. this spot has surpassed skinny Louie’s and cowy can’t even compare..
Smash Bros burger reminds me of all the incredible blue collar, Smashburger joints that were in business from the 1930s in Detroit when I was growing up in the 90s as a kid. Everything from the bun, to the cheese seems like great quality - cowy felt short on the bun & cheese. The patty isn’t over salty and hard like at skinny Louie’s.. It’s still juicy flavorful, but not overpowering.
I have ordered a classic burger through Uber eats 4 times now and every time I’ve gotten my burger it has been absolutely delicious. The cheese is perfectly cooked and still melting When I receive my burger. I’ve had the fries before which are delicious, but I imagine they’d be even better getting them fresh. I also ordered a chocolate shake yesterday and it was really good and did not taste like sugar slop like they are in a lot of...
Read moreAs a health-conscious person who avoids seed oils and ultra-processed foods/ingredients, Smash Bros definitely got my attention. While it's a good start, there is a lot of room for improvement here, especially if you are advertising as seed-oil free.
Pros: grass-fed (hopefully grass-finished and organic?) beef tallow fried french fries (doesn't seem to be organic potatoes or grass-fed/organic wagyu tallow) raising awareness about seed oils and harmful stuff in our food the potential for this place is huge
Cons: bad/ultra-processed ingredients: the bun, cheese (probably the most toxic thing on the menu here), sauces (ketchup, mustard, house sauce), and i'm guessing non-organic vegetables. These have seed oils, and other bioengineered/artificial ingredients. This totally defeats the purpose of eating a grass-fed burger or fries that are cooked without seed oils very slow service advertising is a little misleading since there are many things on their menu that have GMOs and seed oils.
Overall, this is a great start. But there needs to be adoption of clean and healthy ingredients across the...
