DO NOT BUT FROM THIS STORE!! NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We loved the furniture that’s why we went a month and a half earlier to organize everything with the sales associate and order the furniture we wanted. To mention I was 8 months pregnant and we were moving to our new home when I started my 9th month. Sales associate assisting us was quick to say yes to all of our asks and we were actually pleasantly surprised with the great customer service we were getting. To only come 2 days before the delivery when of course nothing we agreed was possible anymore. It was extremely important for us the timing of delivery that we asked 3 times and got it confirmed for the time we want to only get an email 2 days before confirming totally different time. I called the store spoke to another associate as ours was on vacation, who was speaking to me like I’m some low intelligence, not English speaking person telling me that what I’m asking is not possible and they don’t commit to such a thing. Of course I asked for a manager, probably 3 times before she actually transferred me through. Manager answered starting with the same talk, I explained to her what was agreed with her employee sales associate that was assisting us and agreed to time of delivery, that was the only ask and request we had, and than she kept on brushing me off, speaking very unprofessional, telling me that there is NO such a thing as agreeing on when to deliver your items. They will come when they come, convenient for the delivery team based on your address and there is nothing they can do. After I made her calm the delivery team and confirmed the time with them, she hang up the phone on me without saying anything for me to understand that the conversation is over to call me back few minutes later, with a same tone and unprofessional talk to tell me that there is ko thing they can do and I will be the first stop because of my address at 9am, when all we wanted and nicely asked for was 1pm delivery. At that point myself 9 months pregnant and really out of energy to argue, just agreed and thanked her for not sure what to get the phone just hanged up on me again, no thank you no goodbye. Not sure why and how you can call whatever you are giving customer service as I’m not sure if you know the meaning of those words or you even have a slight idea of how to deliver it! I run a department of 3000+ employees for a hospitality industry, where my team lives and breathes customer service and I can tell you you would never stand a chance to work with my team. The team will take you out for your unprofessionalism, inability to communicate with your clients, no business etiquette and definitely for the money we paid $6000+ didn’t get any customer service and would have never buy anything from this store and team if we just knew what will happen earlier. You need to treat every customer with respect that you clearly don’t as your team is not trustworthy and they will say anything to take the money without even caring to follow up afterwards or delivery on the promise/agreement. Not recommending anyone to buy from this particular store unless you don’t mind dealing with everything we went through and you don’t mind someone treating you so poorly for your money! Read moreWe are customers of Modani, (I believe since 2015) when we bought our furniture for our apartment and over the years, we also bought some furniture for our house. We were very pleased with everything, the service, post sales, etc. We don’t mind the price, we love quality (Goods and Service) above all. This was one of our favorite stores.
We are doing some home décor in our house, and we told our interior designer our top 3 stores and he made his proposal of furniture selection considering these stores. So, we are decorating by phase. We completed one of our living rooms, completing the dining room and soon will start decorating the second living room.
So, in November last year, we bought a beautiful coffee table, I think the name is Piagia Coffee Table, completely covered with mirrors. But a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the sides are getting rusty, small spots and I am concerned if this will grow; the table has less than 6 months with us. We are extremely organized and picky in our house, so I know for sure this is not related to a chemical used to clean the table because I don’t use a chemical, just a microfiber duster.
I called Modani today to explain my concern and I asked the customer service representative to provide me an email address to send photos of these defects and I asked her “what they can do to help us since we bought this table 5 months ago”. I must say I am very disappointed with MODANI answer. I was looking for a solution or at least an intention of understanding the problem we had.
The customer representative answer was a question: “Did you buy a Protection Plan?” “Since you didn’t buy a protection plan, this order does not have warranty, is not covered by warranty. You can search on our website for recommendations about product care and cleaning instructions”.
Protection Plan: Warranty. All these years buying in Modani and none of our furniture has warranty since the moment we received the items. Lucky us, we are super caring, and all our furniture looks brand new except for this coffee table!
Now I am praying this rustiness on the coffee table doesn’t get worse and I will buy the rest of our furniture in the other 2 stores that so far haven’t disappointed me.

Read moreFurniture shopping can be both fun and tedious, and it can also be overwhelming. Our experience at Modani, with the help of Mihaela, was positive and productive.
We are furnishing a new condo, and faced two challenges -- selecting individual pieces we liked, and having them make sense together in terms of scale and style.
Some pieces caught my eye as I went past the showroom on a recent run. We went in later for a closer look and the sales person, Mihaela, was very helpful, but with zero pressure. We went back again a few days later (last evening) for another look and we placed an order.
Two things to note: (1) the items we wanted were in stock (not the case nowadays at a lot of places) for quick delivery, and (2) the customer service was outstanding. Am I the only one, or have you noticed that during the pandemic, customer service has gotten terrible almost everywhere? We had a busy day and didn't get to the showroom last evening until about 20 minutes before closing time. Mihaela was finishing up with another customer, but told us if we wanted to wait, she would stay to help us beyond closing. To complete the sale and arrange delivery, she stayed an extra half hour, and we walked away as very happy customers.
So, for a combination of variety, value, availability, and customer service, I recommend checking this place out.
UPDATE:. We purchased a beautiful, and somewhat massive solid slab wood dining table that developed a crack. The warranty people refused our claim, but Gary from the Modani customer service department arranged delivery of a replacement the following week, with no argument or hassle.
