I usually don't like to complain or cause hardship to people in their jobs, BUT there is no need to ruin a customer's day for a senseless "discussion". That's what they've done in this location, I have been a starbucks regular(everyday)for the last 24 years in the USA or anywhere in the world I've been to and 99.5% of the times I have felt valued and appreciated by the staff, however the last 2 bad experiences I've had, happened in this store,(not anywhere else in the globe, this store!), clearly there is a terrible lack of training, hence lack of customer service and appreciation. I asked the clerk for my everyday cup of pikes cofee with 4 splendas and extra heavy cream, she proceeded to charge me for the heavy cream, I told her: " listen it is just 70 cents, and I don't mind, but starbucks don't charge for half and half or heavy cream", she stopped the order and went to the back to bring her manager, I told her :"I just want my cofee", she charged me and then she wanted to lecture me(and I'm sure she is not the manager because I know who the manager is),about how the system charges automatically, I showed her the rules of refills and extra half and half or heavy cream, where it says that they don't charge for that,(I am a fan of Starbucks, I read the book : THE STARBUCK WAY, and I recommend it because is the Bible of customer service) she replied: "policies change everyday". (It made me even more upset). It is not about the 70 cents guys, because we leave bigger tips than that. It is not knowing the policies and be willing to confront a customer. She sincerely messed up my day. Next time I won't stop here. And guys, STARBUCKS IT IS NOT ABOUT THE COFFEE, IT IS ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE, WHERE MOST OF THE TIME WE FEEL LIKE IN FAMILY. DON'T RUIN IT. THERE ARE MANY OTHER VENUES THAT SERVE GOOD COFFEE TOO. I'm sure I will forget about it, but for sure I won't come back to this...

Read moreThe service was fine and the lines moved along well, but the employees (mostly the shift manager, I'm assuming because she at one point loudly explained to some other employees that they couldn't move stations without being instructed to by her first- and not in a very polite way) were gossiping/chit chatting from across the store to each other over top of customers sitting in between. The same shift manager- again, I'm just assuming she's the shift manager- was also very loudly talking about the homeless people outside in an extremely negative and unprofessional manor, loud enough that multiple people in the store clearly heard her- which seemed to be her intent. I get it- it's tough having so many homeless people immediately on the property and having to protect customers and product from them (many were clearly not in their right mind and one came in the store a few times, only to walk right back out on his own), but to loudly bash them while representing a company, wearing someone else's name on your uniform, is so disrespectful and sets a terrible example. As a Starbucks regular, it was discouraging to see so many employees misrepresenting a company I love...
