Public beware, especially if you are Jewish! Amanda, the bartender apparently can’t keep her personal feelings out of the business world. It saddens me to give this review because I have been a 30 year veteran of Flannigans and we live just a few blocks away and have spent much time and money in this establishment with my five children. my mother, my friends and neighbors in Coconut Grove I understand losing me as a customer will not hurt them in anyway they have a tremendous business and are building out additional space to keep growing. this is about one individual. It all Started two or three weeks ago when I walked in said hello to Amanda and was totally ignored and she walked away. The other bartender had to come serve me. Her name was Terry. At this point I asked Amanda if I did something to upset her and she said no, she was just busy. (Didn’t seem to be busy). Fast forward to yesterday evening and a return to the bar and I was served by Carlos. All was good until shift change. I closed out his $19 bill and gave him a tip and thanked him and told him to enjoy the rest of his evening . Amanda takes over for her shift and decides to single me out in my group and say you are cut off. My response was I’ve had two drinks. Can you explain what’s going on and again she walked away. At this point, I handed her cash and asked for exact change and said you will not be receiving any tip from me. She walks to the back and all of a sudden two big men come out and tell me I called her a profanity. I said this is not true. Can we discuss for a moment at that point they engaged, using profanity and threatening to get physical and would not to talk. Three security guards for someone that supposedly used a bad word seems overkill to me. I left immediately. Funny, I was sitting at the bar fine until I left no tip! I didn’t know Tips were mandatory even for people that are treating you poorly. My group and I really were baffled. The only conclusion they could come up with was the star of David that is hanging from my neck. Can we truly be in the world where hatred is so strong you cannot even go into a bar and let people know what faith you practice, without the fear of them manipulating the situation out of hate. Maybe I need to tuck it in? As much as anybody wants to try to twist the story, it is 100% accurate and I tried to talk to Flannigans and returned today to speak to a manager to be told. No one told me of any incidents last night and I’ve never really seen you here. I’ll give you some free drink tokens. No thank you Flannigans!

We recently visited Miami with my husband and friend, we searched for a good restaurant on Google and chose this restaurant with high reviews and high ratings. The atmosphere was nice but the service was a total fiasco from the first entrance! The welcome hostess at the entrance greeted us so coldly that we were surprised. Then they showed us a table, we didn't want to choose because it was in a cramped space, we didn't want to sit at the table the waiter had chosen, he got a bit nervous because we didn't sit at the table he had chosen, it was written on his face. He took us again to a different table 'of his choice' and at least it was more comfortable. We ordered 1 hamburger and 2 steaks, the hamburger was good but the steaks were cold so we didn't like the taste of the meat, we asked them to heat the meat and we could see the dissatisfied look on their faces and we didn't like it! We wanted to eat our food and leave very quickly, it was uncomfortable. If you don't want to do this job, you should look for another job.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life. The moment we sat down, we noticed a ROACH crawling in our booth . We told the staff immediately, and all they offered was to move us one booth over. ONE. BOOTH. OVER. As if the roach problem stops at a single table. No apology. No urgency. No care for the fact that there are bugs in their dining area where people eat food. It wasn’t until we brought it up AGAIN that they even considered doing anything about the bill. We had to ask for a discount or any sort of accountability and even then, it felt like we were inconveniencing them for expecting basic cleanliness and decency. This place should be shut down and inspected immediately. I don’t care how good you think the food might be no meal is worth risking your health in a place that clearly doesn’t care about sanitation or customer service. Never coming back.

Visit: Saturday 10/26/24 I have been coming to this Flannigans since the 90s as a kid, and this was the worst experience I've had. Did was mediocre at best, but the thing that really made me regret coming this day was the service from our waitress, Jen. Let's start with the money grabbing scheme of their wings. My buddy and I ordered 20 wings. Knowing they're usually like 15 drums and 5 flats, we ask for all flats. 20 wings are around $22, which is a great deal. Flanigan won't do 20 flats, not even for a surcharge. They make you order 2 10-piece for $15, THEN charge you an additional $2.50 for all flats because "that's the only way the kitchen can guarantee all flats, otherwise they won't do it". So, you go from $22 to $35 for the same amount of wings. But, okay. Then the burgers. We ordered a Big Daddy burger to split, well-done. Forgive me, but well-done doesn't mean a charred hockey puck. I also brought my pregnant wife a Flannigan burger that happened to be just as bad. Now the service. The hostess was the only positive experience of the visit, and it went downhill from there. Our waitress, Jen, seemed to be upset for us not ordering drinks or two entrees. This is an assumption due to her demeanor changing when we declined drinks and specials, asking for water and saying we just wanted wings and a burger to share and another to go. After taking our order, she did not stop by our table once. Not to check on the food, not to ask if we needed more water, nothing. We ran out of water, only one small blue cheese dip came with the wings and we had asked for two. She would come to all her tables around us, the booth next to ours and the table next to us, but not even look over at us. I even called out to her, but she wouldn't acknowledge us. She only came by to offer us desserts, getting upset yet again when we declined and brought us the bill. Which, get this, now your waitress rings you up at the table with those handheld card machines, starring at your while you choose their tip. Flannigans, I have been coming here since I was practically in diapers. There are pictures on the walls from family friends, and I have fond memories of days gone by here. I'm just one customer, but imagine how many you've turned away because of a waitress with a bad/dismissive attitude. Your food isn't cheap, and it wasn't good. It's never been great, but the atmosphere and service is what made you shine. You know how much of a hassle it is to even frequent your place with the awful parking situation. I wasn't a tourist you'd never see again, I'm a local. Take care of...

I would like to express my reasons for giving this restaurant The stars that I gave And if I can give less, I would. Every now and then, whenever I come back to visit this area I like to stop and come to this Flanagans before I head back home And my experience here would always be the same outcome, fantastic with a very nice atmosphere except this last time. This happened about a few days ago It all started from the moment that I arrived That day was very busy So there was a waiting line Which honestly I didn't mind The host told me it would take no less than fifteen minutes Which It was completely understandable and I was ok with that Everything was going well until I was seated The server that attended me was a nice gentleman We ordered what we wanted And we waited for the food to arrive. The problem was me and my wife waited more than twenty five minute's for our food Again it was np and i being reasonable considering It was super busy But once I realized that forty five minutes had passed And we still didn't get our food I was a bit agitated Within those forty five minutes, we only saw our server one time I had to get up and look for my server and ask him, why are food was taking so long? only to find out that the food hadn't been made By this point I was very agitated But still I waited Once we got our food And we began to eat, I noticed that my plate of food Wad slightly cold At this point I requested my server to let me speak with the general manager. During this whole ordeal The server was very apologetic more issues started accruing When the general manager arrived to speak with us The man had a very sour Expression Didn't bother to ask nor apologize I explained to him what me and my wife had gone through, and it seemed like he didn't care Again, I understand that it was a very busy day But as a general manager And a grown man He should have been a little bit more professional Anyways The man didn't apologize, nor did it seem like he cared Nor did he address the issue properly Instead In small words Was basically telling me that I was a lier Talk about customer service We definitely had a very bad experience And I don't know how that general manager is a general manager We ended up paying And we left I highly doubt that we will ever come back here on our next visit To florida It's...
