I was more than surprised today by my visit to this joint. How many sushi fusion places can you find in Miami? A whole lot but not all serve food this delicious. honestly didn't come here with high expectation despite the positive feedback and good reviews because I just went with appearance of food and that's a mistake. My taste buds went bananas today after trying this amazing food. As soon as I walked in the one and only waitress was very friendly as well as the chef behind the counter doing the magic, sort of speak. The place is not very small, just a few tables but it was a Tuesday afternoon so l imagine it might get hectic on the weekends. Let's talk food, shall we? First of they have a menu written on wall with chalk for the "create yourself rice bowl" with the ingredients and then you place the order when ready. I specifically went there for the Tuna and Truffle sushi roll and my goodness this is, not exaggerating, one of the tastiest, most delicious sushi rolls l've ever tasted in my life. I believe that the secret ingredient, or not so hidden, is the truffle and honey sauce they top this roll with. Fresh raw tuna, rice, Avocado, crab salad, steamed shrimp, goat cheese, aji amarillo and "that" sauce make this a roll to die for even though you've probably have tried a tuna roll somewhere, but trust me, not with this flavor. One of the things that is a bonus for me is the presentation as you can appreciate in one of the photos posted. Now let's talk about this dessert: hands down, one of the best desserts to have ever landed in my mouth. The Yuzu coco panacota is not, at all, your typical panacota. The panacota itself was amazing, creamy and not too sweet but these coconut flakes, guava jam and the lemony tiny little eggs on top make this an burst of flavors in your mouth considering it's just a dessert. People when you visit this place, I insist, save room for this dessert. They also have an Oreo dessert that apparently have run out over the weekend because of how popular and I assume, delicious it is. I will be having that one for my next visit which has to be soon because I know my wife would go bananas with both the sushi and the desserts here. The place is hard to see if you're driving too fast on NE 2 Ave but it's just before 36 ST and next to 305 Brews which is not hard to miss.

Based on the reviews I was very excited to try Kraken Crudo. The parking situation is a nightmare. You have to pay $10 at a shady parking lot to find it, but get there early and you might be lucky enough to find the street parking with an app. We enter and it is very small, and pretty hot. We are promptly seated at a small table that's really for 2 (we were 3) but were promised to be moved when a bigger table opened up, which they did afterwards. We ordered our drinks and then waited for our order to be taken. I honestly feel that my review would've been better if they had adequate staffing for a Friday night. They were trying very hard for us to be satisfied but it's hard when 2 people are trying to manage everyone's orders. We had to wait about 10 minutes to order and we decided on an appetizer (the tuna pizza). The food came out in all sorts of weird times. My father's came out first, he had some sort of meat with corn. We had to wait more than 20 minutes for the next plate to come out which was the Kraken (octopus with potatoes) and as we inquired for our tuna pizza appetizer because my cousin hadn't received her ceviche salad yet I could see the waiter's frustration because the people preparing the dishes continuously kept forgetting about our pizza. We had to ask about 4 times. Finally my cousin's salad comes out, and still no pizza. We are very easygoing people and we didn't give the waiter a hard time since we saw him trying but it was definitely an experience that made us never want to come back. We didn't even ask for anything complimentary but the waiter told us he comped my beer. I would've preferred he comped the tuna pizza since we received at the end of the meal and the plates here aren't cheap. Overall, the food is ok, nothing too spectacular. Make sure you don't come on a...

Update The owner responded very nicely so we are likely to give this restaurant another chance. I felt bad leaving 1 star so I changed to at a 3 and if it improves the next time I order I will make it higher. The food was usually amazing and that is why we were disappointed. I have updated my review to reflect the good food prior the the past couple of times and if we use them again, I will write they did a better job.

This place has given awful service the past couple of times I have ordered. Delivery takes forever and many times the food comes missing ingredients. Thinks like no honey on one of the rolls. In addition the sauce also gets all over the top of the container and not on the roll.

Today we decided to do carry out. The app told us it would be ready at 9:11. We arrived at 9:22 and they said it would take another 25 minutes.

We asked to cancel the order and they said it wasn't possible.

This is how they packed the to go. Pictures below.

Our typical order is well over $100 and this is not how good customers should be treated.

Awful service. It's the last time...
