The cafe is beautiful and there was lots of seating available. Honestly though, the food looked aesthetically pleasing, but the flavor was so off for me. I got the French toast platter and the bacon tasted like no bacon I've ever tasted before and I don't mean that in a good way, it tasted like fat and that was all. The eggs and potatoes had zero seasoning to the point that the eggs tasted extra eggy, I know ironic considering they are eggs but there was zero sense of any other flavor. The French toast was also super soggy it wasn't a pleasing texture to the palette. I asked if I could have a cup of water and was told no that I would have to purchase an actual bottle which is unreasonable to me. I was just asking for tap water and I've never been to any cafe or restaurant that has said no to just a cup of water. I would have paid for it if I had to, but I wasn't given the option so I chose not to get a drink as I wasn't going to pay for a bottle of water that more than likely goes for $4+. My sister got the dulce de Leche pancakes which were off tasting. Very pleasing to the eye, but not so much the palette. I will say the breakfast burrito my mom had was delicious but that was about it. The eggs also arrived at the table way earlier than the french toast platter, then when the French toast platter arrived we still had to wait for the pancakes. So we had a long amount of time between each platter getting to the table. We were a party of 3 so taking so long to get each two of the plates while one was already at the table was not a good experience. None of this food was also worth the pricing, $27 for the french toast platter was actually absurd, but it's Wynwood so I expected it. Judith the server there was amazing and had a nice demeanor, but honestly the service at the register with another lady was not the best which is why I took off a few stars. Overall, this place is personally not suited for me but it may be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was so excited to come here, and even brought my friend to celebrate her birthday. I would have to say I was disappointed. Maybe this location was not the right one, but I am open to revisiting the other location.
First, the pancakes are good and are an excellent spend of your money. I do want to adjust the phrase of the āfluffiest pancakesā because it gives the illusion that these are light and fluffy. They are not. These are just thicker pancakes. This means, you can share one plate of pancakes with a significant other, family or friend. In fact, I highly recommend that you treat this as a share platter, versus getting it as an individual plate for yourself.
Now to the negative, and why I knock two star. If you notice, one of the pancake did not have the same representative as the other pancakes on the table. One of the pancake did not come with flower, nor did it come with whipped cream. Is that something that is supposed to have happened? Probably not, but because they were so busy, they just brought it like this.
Second negative, some people would love to have a side of eggs or bacon. The person that was running the register, she didnāt speak English, so she had to use her phone to translate, told me specifically that I could not get the side of eggs or bacon. I had to purchase the continental 2 breakfast, which I thought was a rip-off. Right underneath the pancakes option, you have a box to add an additional eggs or bacon. But the person at the register told me you couldnāt do that. Why is that? What are those additional adds for?
Second, if youāre looking for atmosphere, the Wynwood location is not it as far as the indoors is concern. Treat this particular location as a side eatery aka basic cafe, as you explore...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast Monday, we decided to try Miam Cafe in Wynwood for brunch. It was a great decision because we definitely plan to go back asap.
My daughter ordered the Big Breafast Platter with 2 eggs, a side of bacon, fruit, potatoes, and toast with purple onions on it, which she removed. She also ordered a Mocha coffee. She was pleased with her choice.
I ordered the Avacado Smoked Salmon toast with egg. Omg, I loved it!! It was perfectly made! So delicious. I can't wait to go back and have it again. I don't usually rave about food, but this was an exception.
Our server was Rodney, who did a great job of bringing us little extras that were overlooked. He was outstanding. He had a nice attitude. We appreciated him.
The ambiance was good. A variety of diners: couples, internet users, book readers, locals, tourists. Dress is casual. The decor was definitely a Wynwood style. I don't understand the flooring design though. The colors make it look like it needs to be shined up or patched. It could be a new style that I haven't yet seen. Just curious.
Suggestion to the owner/manager: please check and tighten the indoor tables. We had to change tables 3 times near the Twiggy picture because they were rocking so much that it was annoying.
One more thing! Why were we charged an extra 4% on our bill for "restaurant charge"? What was that for? For the unstable tables? I have never seen that charged in Miami.
Parking was available free on the street and close to the restaurant. The front entrance is not wheelchair accessible because of the curb to climb up on....
