WOW! When you book a place that looks as beautiful as this online you do wonder if it will be as brilliant as you hope. Well this was even better than my expectations had hoped for! Five Stars all the way!!!!
We stayed at Domio Wynwood for 5 nights and it was exceptional! I booked a One bedroom+Den Suite, Laundry+Pool+Gym for myself and my sister. I booked direct and signed up with the resort and was given 15% discount. The apartment was the perfect size for the two of us and honestly could have easily accommodated 4.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need from a blender to olive oil sachets! The whole apartment was clean, bright, beautifully decorated with brand new furniture throughout. The living space was comfortable, well designed and spacious. The furniture was beautiful. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. There was plenty bedding and the digital A/C controlled the central air which was very efficient. The allocation of towels and toiletries in the bathroom was plentiful. Having laundry and access to the pool and gym were amazing!
We had a view of the street which meant we had one of the best murals in Wynwood as our bedroom and sitting room views! The gym was amazing exceptionally well equipped! The roof top pool outdoor area was just beautiful. Having a huge media room with dining and a pool table was perfect.
The staff were happy, courteous and friendly throughout the hotel. Always saying good morning, offering help and generally being calm and nice. The vibe all around was one of modern and light. Having wifi throughout was fantastic and being a keyless hotel was a brilliant idea.
The area is a perfect base for exploring and catching uber to anywhere. Wynwood Walls, Target, Nordstrom Rack, Vegan cafes, Post Office and much much more were within easy walking distance. Every single step was like walking around in a living art gallery.
I cannot compliment this hotel concept enough, we felt extremely safe in our room and in all areas of the hotel. Outside at night also felt safe. I booked last min and urgently req the confirmation before I flew - I emailed the company and received a personal reply within mins with a link to my reservation details.
In closing I think this is a wonderful place to stay and would recommend anyone thinking of booking to go...
Read moreUpon my arrival Saturday everything was great, music playing in the courtyard, easy check in, nice gym, until the second day of my stay. It was extremely noisy and music was blasting partnered along with a group of girls fighting at 3am off their patio in the courtyard. In addition to this, I was approached by a rude man that emerged from a room out of nowhere on a patio suite three doors down and he stared at me taking pictures for 5 mins making me feel completely uncomfortable to the point I went to go inside, as I went to grab my camera, he then indicated I needed to turn off my music at 6:45pm although the company clearly indicates there is a quiet hour policy from 10pm. He proceeded to tell me upon my first encounter with him that he would kick me out of the hotel and stated “if I want to continue staying here, I need to listen to him.” This man was poorly dressed, wrinkled and looked as if he’d walked in from the street with tennis shoes on, no badge, or shirt indicating he worked for domio and he goes on to say he’s the property manager and will kick me out. I approached the front desk and they indicated there was no property manager on site and I later had the same man come to my suite knock on my door and confront me and was essentially harassed; the same man approached me not once but three times. He never gave his name when I asked to speak to his superior, and said he could give me his business card in which he did not. The lack of professionalism from this “property manager” and the lack of communication from the front desk and domio will be the reason I tell you not to stay here. Not to mention they are doing construction!!!! I was awoken by 8am each day by drilling noises and could barely sleep through the morning on my vacation if...
Read moreDomio Wynwood is just like that really nicely designed restaurant that you want to love but something is just missing.. like the food is just okay and the service really isn't that welcoming, they forget about you, your server just wants to leave and get her shift over with.
I mean the apartments are brand new so obviously they look nice. And even with the construction issues aside (note they are still finishing the building and some units) like construction dust everywhere and noise, it really just comes down to service. I've now stayed twice and on both occasions the unwelcoming attitude started before we even got there.. You call customer service to ask a question about your stay and you leave your number for a call back later, a girl named Danielle calls you back with an attitude like "what did you call" and just wants to get the call over with. No hello how's your day, looking forward to helping you kind of hospitality you would expect from a "hotel company". Then when you are there you have issues with your apartment, because its brand new and they probably opened it too soon. You call and request service in your unit, they say they will come right away. They don't you call again, and again and again. And then when you're really annoyed because they don't help at all, they really don't want to do anything in terms of making it right. We had many more frustrations with Domio, but i'll just keep it hight level, I think you...
