I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Wynwood Art Walk during Miami Art Week, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Led by Lance Durham, a local artist, this tour offered an intimate and comprehensive look into the heart of Wynwood, a neighborhood that has undergone a remarkable transformation from an industrial district to a vibrant hub of street art.
Lance's deep knowledge and connection to the area truly enhanced the experience. He didn't just show us the murals; he brought us into the world of the artists behind them. We saw iconic works by El Mac and Okuda, which have become staples of Wynwood's artistic landscape. But what made this tour exceptional was the introduction to new pieces and artists like D*Face, whose bold style adds a rebellious touch to the streets; Hiero Vega, whose art embodies the local Miami culture; Elle Street Art, known for her powerful female figures; Sanguine Kills, who brings a contemporary edge; and Adriana Vila, whose murals tell captivating stories.
This wasn't just a walk; it was an immersive journey through an ever-changing outdoor gallery. Each corner revealed something new and exciting, showcasing the dynamic and transformative power of street art. Wynwood, with its rich tapestry of art, culture, and history, is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the intersection of urban space and creative expression.
Lance's passion and expertise made this tour stand out. It's clear why the Wynwood Art Walk is a benchmark for street art tours worldwide. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning art enthusiast, this tour offers fresh perspectives and deeper insights into the vibrant world of Wynwood. Five stars for an...
Read more*UPDATE: Brought my friends back like I said I would and the tour was amazing again!!!! My friends LOVED IT like I knew they would. And guess what? It felt like a completely different tour. I thought I saw everything there was to see in Wynwood and would just be along for the ride as my friends discovered cool things — but Lance (yep, I requested him again for the squad) showed us TOTALLY different gems this time. Worth the money fa sho.

This was by far my FAVORITE part of my trip to Miami . This tour was fun, informative, and exciting from start to finish [for me AND my mama]. Lance was the absolute best tour guide ever. He knows SO MUCH about almost all of the street art in Wynwood from the ~number of paint cans used to whether the artist used a stencil or projector or went freehand. You could walk around yourself in Wynwood and snap pics of your favorite pieces but it just could never ever be the same without Lance providing such background info from the perspective of a longtime street art fan, Miami local, AND someone who is actually friends with some of the artists whose work you'll be seeing. Lance even happily stopped and took pictures of us in front of our favorite pieces. Truly a fabulous, incomparable experience. I'm bringing my friends back literally next month just so they can enjoy and learn...
Read moreThe tour was fantastic, as well as our tour guide Lee. However, the company behind the tour group are crooks. We bought 3 tickets, but one person in our group bought the wrong time. We noticed it right at the start of the tour time, and notified the company and tried to get the time changed. It was an honest mistake, and understand that it's our fault. They flat out refused to change the time or give a refund, or even discuss it.
We went ahead and bought another ticket and enjoyed the tour. I messaged them saying we loved to support them and to please reconsider doing something-- give a credit for a future tour, discount, partial refund, anything. They flat out refused again, no with discussion. These are walking tours, with nothing offered other than a guide, and the company didn't lose anything by one person not being there. To me, this is flat out stealing, and disrespectful to just take the money and run with no discussion.
I recommend the art and the tour guides as people, but I can't support a company that spits on it's...
