BAKAN — Restaurant in Miami

I visited Bakan on a Tuesday night in the month of December. I was able to find parking on the adjacent street which was NW 2nd Ave and Nw 28th st. The parking was $6.5 for 2 hours which was more than enough to eat something and then walk around after. You will need the PayByPhone app to pay for parking. You can always extend your time for parking through the app.

I had a great time here at Bakan. The ambience was beautiful, the aesthetics are pleasing, and the music is just at the right level. It was a nice windy Tuesday night and I decided to sit outside. The reception wasn't very pleasing... and it could have definitely been better. I stood there waiting to be seated while the receptionist ignored me. I had to ask her for service. No welcome, no greeting, no friendly smile or recognition of my presence.

However, the service inside was excellent. The wait to be seated was short. All the waiters were attentive, kind, and professional. Additionally, I asked them a lot of questions which they answered with the upmost patience and detail. I asked about their organic tortillas, their pet policy (you can bring your service animal or your regular pet), and for nutrition facts. Although they didn't have the nutrition facts written down anywhere, they offered to go ask the chef for the nutrition facts which was awesome.

I ordered the TACOS DE SHORT RIB. These had a good price for the location. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was delicious. I wish I could describe the taste better, but that's just what I can say! DELICIOUS!

About their Tortillas: Bakan grinds their "Nixtamal" daily in house. You can actually see them do this in the kitchen. They import their corn from communities in the State of Mexico

The inside of the restaurant is beautiful.

Another plus about eating here is that you can go walk around after you're done eating. If you visit during the nighttime, I suggest you walk south on NW 2nd ave. and don't stray off on the side streets unless you see a lot lights and people. Just to stay safe :)

We’ve been coming to Bakan for years now and this restaurant is always delivering five star service with delicious meals. The tomahawk is our favorite and is always cooked to perfection. There drinks are amazing; the Tulum Vibe always hits the spot! With being regulars, we always notice the manager checking in with all of the guests to ensure they are having a pleasant experience. We always ask for Francisco to be our waiter when we visit, he is amazing and always goes out of his way to ensure we are well taken care of and enjoying our drinks/meals. Definitely check this place out and ask to be seated with him.

7/13/21 - As usual, another amazing experience at Bakan with Francisco as our waiter. Drinks and food always on par. Came to celebrate a friends birthday and the entire experience was perfect. Thank you Bakan and Francisco for making every experience memorable!

7/30/21 - Bakan continues to provide stellar customer service and superior quality of food! We are regulars and every time is a pleasant experience. Our waiter Francisco delivers top notch service and the manager Juan is always sees interacting with guests, going from table to table to ensure everyone is having a good time. This is by far the BEST restaurant in the neighborhood and 100% recommend it. Thank you Francisco and Juan for remaining consistent in service and quality of food. See you all soon!

8/13/21 - visited with a group of friends on Fri night and decided to try the short ribs. They were delicious and so soft that the meat fell off the bone. Our waiter Francisco was phenomenal. He is very attentive and always ensures we have the best of experiences. Thank you! Best Mexican...
