UPDATE: I will preface this review by saying that I have been a Skinny Louie customer for several years now and loved the food, the experience, and the service… all up until about a month or two ago.

The last few times I have gone, they have given me the incorrect order and taken a long time to serve me, even though the place is clearly not very busy.

I fully understand busy Saturday late night mistakes happen and orders take time, I have worked in food service, but I intentionally visit the restaurant on weekdays and during not busy hours.

The last few times I was there I received fries in my bag even though i did not order any. I never do. The most recent visit was yesterday, I always ask for no ketchup and mustard, and ended up with ketchup and mustard.

The most important issue that needs to be addressed would be the patties. Again, I fully understand on busy nights that It’s possible to get wrong orders or a patty that has been sitting under the hot lamp for 10 minutes, but when I intentionally visit the restaurant during not busy hours to avoid this specifically, I expect to get a fresh patty not one that has been prepared. 20 minutes prior to my arrival. There are sometimes upwards of 10 staff behind the counter, and it makes me wonder with all those people, why they can’t see to do it like they used to.

My conclusion from this is there must be some sort of new management or not the same standard of training or employee selection.

Again, I really love the place. I will continue to visit and leave my five star review. I just hope somebody in the restaurant sees this and can make some sort of improvements to reclaim the best Smashburger in...

Recommendations about it being the best burger in Miami had me excited, Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most overrated restaurants I’ve ever been to.

First, the noise level was overwhelming—it was so loud that the cashier could barely hear me, forcing me to shout my order. Then there’s the pricing: we paid $50 for two burgers, two sodas, and two orders of fries. For that price, I would’ve expected at least the option of a beer, but they don’t even have a liquor license.

As for the food, it was seriously underwhelming. There was nothing special about the burger—anyone could make the same thing at home. To make matters worse, everything is served in to-go bags, even when dining in, which really takes away from the experience.

On top of that, I couldn’t help but notice how overstaffed they seemed—more than ten people were crammed behind their tiny counter, which made me question their labor costs and efficiency. And to top it all off, the payment system automatically selects a 20% tip by default, which feels a bit pushy given the already steep prices and counter service.

Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype, and you probably couldn’t pay me to go back.

EDIT: changed to one stars because of the dismissive AI generated response from the business owner. This place had the option to leave 23% tip but doesn’t even give you a tray for dine in then had the Gaul to say it’s for authenticity sake. I would goto literally any other burger place...

Absolutely Fantastic Smashburger Experience in Wynwood!

My visit to this joint in wynwood was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. our server , provided impeccable service throughout our meal, ensuring that every detail was attended to with care.

Now, let’s talk about the burgers! Oh my goodness, they were out of this world! Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection. The patties were thick and succulent, and the toppings were fresh and abundant. I especially loved the crispy bacon and melted cheese - absolute perfection!

But wait, it gets better! As a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur, I’ve had my fair share of top-notch burgers, and let me tell you, this place rivals the best of them. Matias, the mastermind behind these delectable creations, deserves all the praise. His attention to detail and passion for crafting the perfect burger truly shine through in every bite.

In addition to the mouthwatering burgers, the sides were equally impressive. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the onion rings were the epitome of golden perfection.
