Sanguich de Miami in Little Havana is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Cuban flavors. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering suggestions and making sure we felt right at home. The atmosphere here perfectly captures the vibe of Little Havana with its vibrant energy, but there’s also a charming, intimate feel to it, like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden local spot where the food and culture are truly celebrated.
Now onto the food, which was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the croquetas—crispy on the outside, creamy and flavorful on the inside. Each bite was packed with flavor and set the tone for what was to come.
The star of the show was, of course, the sandwiches. We had the classic Cuban sandwich, which was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The bread was perfectly pressed, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The combination of the ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard was balanced beautifully. The pork was tender and juicy, while the pickles added a refreshing crunch. Every bite was just perfection.
We also tried the Pan con Lechón, which was a standout for me. The slow-roasted pork was incredibly tender, almost melting in your mouth, and seasoned perfectly. The sandwich had a delicious garlic mojo sauce that took the flavors to the next level. The combination of the pork, mojo, and onions, all nestled in freshly baked bread, was absolutely divine.
Their take on the medianoche sandwich was another highlight—sweeter bread paired with the classic Cuban fillings, creating a wonderful contrast of flavors. It’s a must-try if you want a slightly different twist on the traditional Cuban sandwich.
We rounded off the meal with their malanga fritters, which were crispy, golden, and full of flavor, and washed everything down with a refreshing guava soda. The portions were generous, and every dish was packed with flavor, highlighting the best of Cuban cuisine.
Sanguich de Miami is a Little Havana treasure, offering a true taste of Cuban culture with a modern twist. Every dish was crafted with care and authenticity, making it a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreWe were warned the reviews were over hyped but we didn’t listen. We figured with such great reviews these people were just being picky and overly critical. Well, we wish we had listen. We ordered 2 Cubans and two pan con bistec. The Cubans were ok, but nothing to write home about if you’ve had a real good Cuban sandwich. But I can see a tourist thinking it is great. The mustard is not the traditional yellow mustard but Dijon mustard, which is not good in a Cuban sandwich. But Still ok. But the pan con bistec was awe full. Is not even bistec but roast beef. Yeah, like cold cut roast beef.( at least that’s what it tastes and looks like). Bland, tasteless and with this awe full sauce that tasted like…pizza sauce? I read someone describe it as “mojo rojo”. Tastes nothing like mojo; not a fan. Also, no onions? And they were kind of dry. Two of us couldn’t get past a 1/4 of the sandwich, and ended up eating 1/2 the Cuban sandwiches from the other people. We took them home, hoping someone would eat them because they were expensive, but no one liked them. The pictures look great and the sandwiches are a good size, but that’s about it. The place is small and it only has two sitter tables, so you might end up eating in your car, like we did. Which would be no big deal if it was worth it. Maybe the other sandwiches are good but stay away from el pan con bistec and don’t go in expecting the “best Cuban sandwich” as some people are claiming. It’s not a bad sandwich, just not the best. We really didn’t understand the hype. We’ve definitely had better sandwiches and at a lower price. We paid almost $70 for 4 sandwiches and two sodas and were very disappointed. I still give them 3 stars for cleanliness, service, and freshness. The place is cute. The sandwiches look great and are nicely packaged, the ingredients were fresh, you can tell they put effort into it and I commend them for that. Maybe if they made a few changes it could be better, like using yellow mustard, actual bistec and regular mojo. But as of right now, we won’t purposefully be back. Maybe if I’m in the area, I might go in to try something else, like croquetas or boniato fries etc. I wish them well though, they are hard workers and I hear it’s...
Read moreOk let’s talk sandwich...or in this case Sanguich...Traveling from Broward all the way down to SW 8 Street is truly a test of loyalty to finding the best Cuban places to continue the Cuban Heritage. Parking was a challenge, there’s limited parking and spaces run tight. But after driving close to an hour, the 10 extra minutes circling the area made me even more hungry. Once we had a place to park, the challenge was waiting in the line about 10 guest in. More anxiety when we realized the small amount of table space(25 all together, very quaint)... but we patiently waited. Prices and sandwiches weren’t posted and only one menu was circulated between us in line... once we reached the front we had visuals up close of what we wanted. The menu is small so we ordered without hesitation. We ordered Pan Con Bistec, a Media Noche, a batido de Mamey and a coke. We were blessed with a table and then we waited again. The anticipation grew... the smells of the plantains and the visual of the ladies peeling what seemed like a hundred plátanos kept us entertained. I took a quick bathroom break to find one of the most ornate settings... once out our food arrived. I can honestly say it was “love at first bite”... the sweet bread for the media Noche was on point. I snatched a bite of the pan con bistec which proved to be just as delicious as describe from the friends I made in line. The mamey batido was topped off with whipped cream and traces of condensed milk, this course made it even more scrumptious... my coke came in a glass bottle and truly reminded me of my grandparents dinners, when grandpa would pop the cap off the bottle. Overall the place is very new and fresh. It’s also is infused with Cuban flavors and of course spiced with a new generation of Cubans who truly are seeking the same as we are to keep the heritage alive... marking this high in the list for a place to visit again and tell my broward friends about... looking forward to next time! By the way the little sign at the table made me laugh... Por Favor Ordene At The Register...spoken like a true Miami infused Cuban...❤️or from someone who use to watch Que Pasa USA?... for the récord...
