THE MORNING BISTRO — Restaurant in Miami

This morning we went to check out THE MORNING BISTRO, located in the heart of Wynwood. At first we were short of words since we were stuffed from our delicious meal. We gotta say the food and restaurant were outstanding. The background music and tasty drinks complimented the fresh food very nicely. Everything apart from being delicious was very clean and healthy. This visit we had the papaya mango and cucumber pineapple juices to drink matched with some sparkling water. Which set the stage for our Avocado & Cheese Eggs Benedict, The Bacon & Avocado Sandwich and The Steak & Cheese Arepa stuffed with black beans, cheese, sweet plantains and carne asada chunks in a homemade arepa. I wanted to really like this place, but the food was not it. My avocado toast was avocado slices on top of a semi toasted piece of bread with 2 grape tomatoes. The pancakes, although photo ready, were not tasty and came already drenched with maple syrup. There were no high chairs or booster seats, so my 1.5yo daughter had to sit on my lap or in a chair too big for her.

Additionally, our food was brought out at different times. I should mention we seemed to be the only people there eating.. so I’m not sure why that was the case but it just felt off.

The service was great and the facility clean, but I wouldn’t go here again (which, btw, was expensive for how little you got!!!). Not sure how they got so many recent 5-star reviews.. but hopefully those...

Worst experience ever. We were a party of seven. Place seemed pleasant. My daughters order Eggs Benedict which were the first to come out. Eggs were under cooked the eggs whites runny. Sent back. Our food came out at different times. After more than an hour we request the manager. She came out apologized the two orders would be right out. Waited another 30 minutes nothing. Asked for the manager again but were told she left on a catering job. The called her for she could speak to me but she was tp busy could not talk. As nice as the place looked the and some of the food that we did get was good. Not good service for large parties. My poor girls left hungry. Still had the nerve to charge a $39 gratuity charge.
