My family was in town for a bowling tournament, we were staying ata hotel with walking distance of this restaurant. We had decided that if we were going to eat out, that we would choose only locally owned restaurants.
After reading reviews on Yelp, we decided to try the blue Jade.
The restaurant is in a small strip mall. When I arrived to pickup up my to go order, there were only employees in the restaurant. 6pm.
Pricing reasonable. We ordered: double pan fried noodles with beef, house fried rice, orange chicken with steamed rice, sesame chicken with steamed rice, and Mongolian beef with fried rice. 44.00 dinner.
Mongolian beef was tender, veggies cooked well, but it was swimming in a brown sauce. Fried rice no flavor only rice which appeared to have some soy sauce in it, no veggies or egg,., Disappointed. Portion was good.
Sesame chicken, good portion, chicken was tender, swimming in sauce that was overly sweet, my son said the best thing about it was the steamed rice, which was served on the side.
Orange chicken, good portion, chicken was also tender swimming in off tasting orange sauce, again according to my other son the best thing about this was the steamed rice served on the side.
Finally the house fried rice it was good, meat was tender, had veggies, exactly how fried rice should be. Double pan fried noodles with beef, good as well meat tender, abundance of veggies, a little over sauced, but still good flavor, good sized portion.
Would I eat...

Its clean with average lighting. Not much jumps out at you when you enter that says "chinese". The decor is okay but not fancy. My wife ordered Singapore rice noodles which she said was very good. I had the general tao's chicken with fried rice. Before dinner our appetizer was a sample platter. Everything on that was good....but....the chicken was not great. When I got my entree, it too was not great. In fact it was bad.We will probably ...
Read moreThis place is great. Have been coming here since high school and the same, sweet family has ran it since. I have since lived in Chicago and NJ and have failed to find anywhere I like as much as this place. People complaining about bad Pad Thai should go to a Thai restaurant or the fact that their kids are visible should consider it’s a family run restaurant.
The food is on point with actual white mean chicken that isn’t rubbery like that water soaked fake chicken you get elsewhere. The wonton soup is amaze and their egg rolls delish. Love this place and will continue...
