Very tasty dishes with pleasant service. We've been here for the lunch buffet and for dinner. Our favorite is the lunch buffet because we're not that familiar with Indian dishes by name so we prefer to see the dishes first before making our selections. And it’s a good deal too. When you order from the menu you can ask for mild, medium, hot or very hot. We asked for mild on the Combination Dinner for Two and one entree was medium and the other entrees were mild. That was fine as we did a lot of sharing. Both breads we got were so good – fresh out of the pan and warm. The naan bread was especially delicious. Our meat entrees were tender and the sauces leave just the right flavors in your mouth. We finished off with the Gulab Jamun dessert that was part of the Combination Dinner for Two. It was light and sweet though honestly, there could have been three of the small donut-like pastries per person. The service is friendly and attentive when it’s not busy. When the restaurant fills up, you’ll wait a little longer for a water refill or the check. Parking is on the meter out front or you can park in the larger parking lot...

This place is AMAZING!! The BEST butter chicken I’ve had - and they are SO accommodating!!
As an adult with an eating disorder (ARFID) - they will do ANYTHING they can to make your food how you like it.
I usually order from door dash, which is more expensive- but I’ve also picked it up straight from there. BUT!!! But-but!!! It doesn’t matter if you order for pickup OR takeout like DoorDash -
When you get your food from tandoor? It will be STEAMING!! So, SO hot and delicious. As a person who ONLY eats their food if it is PIPING hot- sometimes even AFTER delivery (25 min travel to east hampton with traffic from Middletown- and there’s ALWAYS traffic since Friday is my special butter chicken day!) or the drive home- I STILL have to blow on my food!!
I don’t know what they do to keep their dishes SO nice and hot- but it WORKS!
I even asked them to hold the rice and give me extra sauce in my butter chicken (I eat it like f*ing tomato soup it’s so good!!!) and they followed my exact order- for a DOORDASH order!!
I ❤️ tandoor!!! I recommend...
Read moreOrdered via Door Dash, the high rating and good reviews gave me high expectations. The food arrived, smelling absolutely delicious. It looked gorgeous, bright colors and great arrangement. Then, I ate. The Seekh Kebab was supposed to be mild. It was ultimately flavorless, no spice, no seasonings. Crunched on bits of bone every few bites. Sautéed onions also bland, tasted more of oil and sweet, crunchy-slimey. It was on a bed of sliced raw carrots with raw cucumbers sprinkled with unidentifiable seasonings. Garlic Naan - Fluffy, great color. Suspect water-brushed, herbs and RAW garlic on top. Plain areas tasted like pancake, not Naan. Kheer - Advertised to have raisins and nuts. Neither present. No cardamom or other seasonings, couldn't even taste the rice. Was just milk and sugar flavor, also smelled more like cottage cheese. The Jasmin Rice that came with the Chicken Tikka Masala was the only proper item, fragrant, fresh taste. The chicken was rather dry, lacking any flavor from the sauce. Overall, a very pretty disappointment. Won't order from this...
