Do not come here for a sandwich midday. Lunch time is absolutely horrible. Waited an hour with other customers that waited longer than I did for sandwiches. Ordered through the app or online to watch people come in and go through the line faster to watch doordash orders. Come in and get filled before our orders for the the workers to not know where some people's tickets are for their sandwiches to be made. And then when I said something about my sandwich I got nothing but attitude and they started making my sandwich before somebody else that ordered a sandwich in front of me. Absolutely blasphemy on top of the fact that this store barely ever has an adult in it. It is ran by a bunch of high school kids that throw attitude. Whenever you have a problem with something because they're not doing something correctly. Absolutely absurd
EDIT: The owner of this Jersey Mike's reached out to me to hear out my concerns and to get my side of what exactly went down that day. I greatly appreciate him for doing this. He also refunded me for my sandwich and gave me extra accommodations as well. I have edited my review to better suit the situation. Thank you for...
Read moreI was super happy to find out that jersey Mike is good with gluten allergies, because there are very very few places that are. The first and second time I went they were phenomenal at being respectful and kind and very careful about keeping my food away from crumbs. The third time I went and was asked (per usual) if this was for allergy or preference, I said allergy, and saw the guy who had to make my sub roll his eyes and whisper to his co worker. No idea what he said, but it was rude and hurtful, and he did it right in front of me. I did not choose this, and feel guilty and like a burden EVERY time I eat somewhere, and behavior like this affirms for me why I don't go out. He also proceeded to apologize to the people behind me in line that it was going to take so long because of my allergy, embarrassing me even further. He was extremely friendly to everyone in the store, except for this, so it kinda shows that he's a big fake. Anyway, I haven't been back since and don't know if I will be. Which is sad because it's one of a total of 2 places that I feel...
Read moreAsked for 2 gluten free subs. The gentlemen that started the preparation asked if it was for a legitimate food allergy or preference. I told him for allergy. He notified me that it would take longer to prepare because he would have to move to a clean area to avoid cross contamination. The manager (I'm guessing) told him to not do that and instead lightly wipe off the area he was already on (were still crumbs etc. from previous sandwiches that were visible on the area).
Preparation passed through both team members. No gloves were changed, and the sandwich was made on all contaminated surfaces.
Gluten free shouldn't be advertised if team members are not going to follow the rules that are going to make items actually gluten free. This makes people sick (including me, which it did, because there was more than even just a...
