Picture this: a culinary adventure where my pancakes came with an unexpected twist – a strand of hair, no less! Now, I'm no Gordon Ramsay, but I figured hair wasn't part of the secret recipe.

Summoning my inner zen, I kindly requested a replacement, thinking, 'Surely, this was just a minor hiccup in the grand breakfast symphony.' But no, Chiki, the Breakfast Maestro, accused me of concocting a hair-raising tale just for an extra serving. Note to self: if I were a fiction writer, I'd go for something less follicular.

Little did I know, my bare scalp was now a source of comedic suspicion. I can see it now – the Breakfast Bandit who trades hair for hotcakes, a truly criminal mastermind. Move over, Sherlock!

Saw this place on Instagram and it seemed like a fun spot to try. Great customer service. We tried the corn pancake Venezuelan special and a build-your-own. Really fun little pancakes with a ton of toppings. The person who waited on us was so nice, explained everything, and had order ready very quickly. It's a bit tricky to find inside the Regency Mall. This spot is in a kiosk near the former food court, in front of the old Forever 21 1st floor entrance. Currently the location is just inside the first floor entrance by the condos, near the Third Church entrance....

ChikisPancake is delicious, the ingredients are top quality and the menu offers great options, my favourite is the Banana pudding, can't wait to be back to try the Venezuelan pancakes.

I always check the reviews before trying a new spot and I can't believe the bad reviews I saw are for "having kids around" and bullying people's accents. I guess this the society where we live nowadays, where being a hardworking immigrant is a bad thing.
