The Twisted Crab - Richmond — Restaurant in Virginia

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night with a couple of our friends. We were quickly seated and waited on by a very knowledgeable server. They quickly got our drinks and took our orders. The food was delivered hot and ready to eat. They have numerous flavors and different levels of heat for each flavor. We enjoyed the flavor that had all of the flavors mixed together. My snow crab was cooked perfectly and came out of the shell easily. My shrimp we're not overcooked and peeled easily. Our biggest complaint was that you could not hear yourself talk to the person across the table from you because it was karaoke night. There was a large birthday party there that was fully engaged with the karaoke bar which continued to pump out obnoxious music at levels that were painful. Plus with the base turned up as high as it was there was no understanding or intelligible words to be heard. Having a conversation in that kind of environment is nearly impossible. We will probably go there again in the future but we will make sure that there is no planned karaoke...

I attended this establishment with my family. We ordered the Margarita Tower. It was absolutely terrible. The first glass was pure syrup. Each glass afterwards was watered down. After one sip no one in my party wanted this drink. When it was brought to the attention of the manager Dale. He said I could not get a refund because he would be wasting liquor. I asked him to fix a better one . I had no issues with the price. However, I didn't want to pay for something I didn't drink. He was not accommodating. He offered a discount only. Refusing to fix the poorly made drink. He offered very poor customer service. I was forced to pay for a $60 drink I did not consume. With a Minor discount. Thanks for stealing my money and attempting to make me feel it was my fault. I will not revisit this...

First visit. I always believe in visiting a place twice. So we’ll return and reviews can always be updated and amended.The atmosphere looks very vibrant and welcoming, it’s a nice space. My wife’s crab boil looked good. However, I sat and watched her fight through opening the crabs by hand because they didn’t provide shell crackers and the silverware was cutlery. So good luck opening the crab legs with a plastic fork. I got shrimp and wings. Shrimp was good sized. However, there should probably be a wing inspector because 3 of my wings wouldn’t have qualified to be considered wings. Like the Deadlist Catch. They should have been thrown back (LOL). To see the size of some of the flats they put in that basket was sad. I’ll order the wings the next time and if the results are the same...
