If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. BUT that’s not an option, so I’ll stick with the 1 Star. This review will also most likely get removed from what I’m about to say, but even if it does, I’ll keep adding it back, and I’m having a conversation with corporate tomorrow.
However, my husband used to work at this establishment. I also knew about 2-3 other people working for this company, not all at the same time, but apparently this establishment is awful to work for. They don’t allow overtime to any employees, and since they’re so short staffed, even if an employee is nice enough to stay back to help, GOD FORBID they get any overtime at all, because they’ll get yelled at and reprimanded for it. For just doing their job.
Anyways, my husband worked here for an extended period of time for some extra money to help pay off medical bills, etc, you get the gist. My husband is not a sensitive guy, but working here, destroyed him. Every time he would walk in, no one would acknowledge him other than one of the people he made friends with, and that was it. He would always greet them with a smile and a friendly greeting, and never received anything back. Would constantly be bullied by upper management and blamed for things that he had nothing to do with. Said it was his fault because he was there when it happened, but not actually blaming the person who was ACTUALLY at fault. Not to mention, he called me several times in tears, because even THE GENERAL MANAGER doesn’t know how to treat the employees.
She comes in there looking all big and bad because she’s the “general manager. When in reality, this “girl” has absolutely no idea how to run an establishment, or how to treat her employees. Honestly, I have NO EARTHLY idea how this person still has a job and why they even gave her the title GM. She doesn’t deserve it, she’s horribly rude and disrespectful to all of her employees, and then walks out like she did something and calls it a day. Never acknowledges the great work the employees do, just continuously puts them down and acts like they’ve never done anything right.
Another incident was where, we have an annual family vacation we go on every year. Tell me why, once he puts in his request off about almost two months before we go on vacation, RIGHT BEFORE VACATION COMES UP, I think maybe about two weeks, the manager Kim, had the nerve to tell my husband that he wasn’t allowed to take his vacation because they had no one else to work and cover those shifts... I’m sorry, how the HELL IS THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES FAULT?? Not only did you schedule him for shifts that he couldn’t work, because he had a second job and YOU KNEW THAT, and you just still decided to be disrespectful, but you’re going to tell your employee he can’t go on his vacation because you have no one else? Who’s problem is that? I know damn well it’s not the employees fault or problem that the hiring managers and GM don’t know how to do their job properly and hire and train, respectable and hardworking employees.
I used to eat here all the time. Even when my husband worked here because I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Honestly, after seeing how they treat someone who bent over backwards to do whatever he could, and then go and treat your other employees the same way and act like they have to slave their lives away in order to satisfy you, is just unacceptable. This place is disgusting, and disappointing. No one should EVER feel this way at your place of employment. No one should EVER be bullied into feeling a type of way, or into doing something they don’t want to, or to be made to feel bad about something that wasn’t their fault or in their control.
I’m livid. I will be having a conversation with corporate. And I will be trying to get Mike, Kim, and Heather (GM) fired. These 3 people, DO NOT GO NEAR THEM if you go to this store. They’re fake, disrespectful and rude as hell and most likely will spit in your food, even though they claim to say “we aim to please”. They aim to PISS PEOPLE OFF. Delete all you want, I’ll just repost....
Read moreVeni. Vidi. Noodli. I came. I saw. I noodled. I don't get the three previous reviews at all. I discovered this chain and location about 2-3 months ago, and have been back on average of 3-4 times a week. Never once had bad service, a bad experience, or less than stellar meal. I am particularly fond of their Pad Thai with a side of the amazing Thai Curry soup. The Stroganoff is good as is the Buffalo Wings Mac n'Cheese, but they are just too single-note for my taste. Let me reiterate the people here are cheerful, courteous, helpful, friendly... (wait a second, maybe I am describing the Boy Scouts) ... and having had more visits here than all these other reviewers combined I can safely assert that this particular location of this fine chain does not deserve a bad rap, so I am dumping a whole load of stars to try to improve their wrongly-tarnished average. To noodles, and beyond! Edit: survey questions. This place carries a "$$" rating which is wrong, and should only be one "$" - everything is well below 10 bucks. I get my Pad Thai - with chicken and a side soup, for $10.25 and that's including the City of Richmond's greedy, over the top sales taxes on food. Also, for this price I don't expect to get a whole chicken in my lunch. The amount they put in is always just enough without...
Read moreI would have to say the people the young woman with a nose ring or bar I would say is very nice, and the young African American girl who you can tell has worked there on how fast she packs orders for food delivery pick is great too. However the other day I got the Pad Thai a regular size and it has the right amount of egg, peanuts and presentation looked great upon opening. Todays however had hardly isn’t even the word, peanuts, barely any egg even though I mentioned should I get more egg and was told it is enough..: try half an egg if that was within the dish, the lime was just wedged underneath noodles so hot not cool to the touch to add and elbow noodles were mixed in with the flat noodles..I do visit reviews but I also used to work in the industry of reviewing restaurants in the past job, so needless to say a follow up review will come to this restaurant again, and not a Google maps review a more extensive one. I hope next time with the next reviewer things are better and line practices have changed for future customers eating at this...
