My cousin is visiting us from out of the country and we decided to bring him to Hooters to experience the iconic restaurant. We were given the various menus and made our selection based off of the advertised happy hour deals given the fact that we got to the restaurant during that designated time. We ordered a pitcher of beer, two buffalo platters, the beer and cheese pretzels, and a platter with fried pickles, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks. The first issues pertained to each of the buffalo platters. My wings were undercooked and rubbery, and the wings on the other platter were burned to a crisp. This blew my mind because A) Hooters is supposed to be famous for their wings and B) the restaurant was far from busy so it's not as if the kitchen was slammed and the cooks did not pay attention to our food. I was VERY disappointed (the only good thing was that there was other food to get full on). The second issue arose when we were given the check. The entire time we were under the impression that we were ordering teasers for a discounted price as listed in the happy hour menu. Everything but the beer cheese was at full price. I was just about to talk to the waitress about this mistake when I revisited the menus and in THE TINIEST fine print on the separate happy hour leaflet menu, it mentioned that the buffalo platters were excluded. Way to trick your customers, Hooters, "good" on you. They listed the tiny fine print on one menu and sent the customer to a different one to make a selection thinking they were getting a deal. Also, given the fact that we explicitly asked what the happy hour deals were - one would assume that the waitress would inform us of any excluded items and/or details. Instead, she held back information that mislead our interpretation of the circumstances. At the time, I ultimately decided not to make a fuss about the situation since the error took place on our end but I will tell you this - as a paying customer, I do not respect the decisions to trick me and others who very likely have made the same mistake. I also do not appreciate the lack of attention in their product and having paid close to $100 for both undercooked, and overcooked, overrated wings. Let's just say my intent to "impress" my cousin and show him "great wings" failed miserably and we have 0 interest...
Read moreOn a Friday night at 7pm, there were very few customers. That should have been a sign that people don't want to eat here.
We were seated at a table and served by a waitress. She promptly took our food and drink orders. Shortly after, she brought out 4 of our 5 drinks and said that the bartender was going to make the fifth one. Considering that most of the drinks were cocktails, the bartender had made drinks already. it seemed our waitress forgot to ring in one of them.
Our server was chatting with other waitresses (nothing wrong with that), but a member of our party didnt get his drink. It had been no less than 15 minutes without pur waitress coming by (the chat with other waitresses had continued uninterrupted, as the other 2 didnt seem to have any tables). I walked to the bar and asked if an order for my friend's drink had been turned in because we had been waiting. The bartender pointed to a glass dripping with condensation from how long it had been sitting there. I took it to my friend. The waitress never seemed to realize that she never brought him his drink. When our food finally came out, it was dried out from sitting under the warming station while our waitress inattentively continued chatting with her coworkers.
The interactions that we had with our server were pleasant. She was friendly. But she blamed the slow service on the kitchen being short-staffed. Based on the drink not coming from the kitchen and the food having enough time to dry out, she was shifting the blame away from herself and onto the other staff members. There is no exphasis on customer experience. There didnt appear to be a manager on the floor.
The food was good despite the chicken being dried out. The bartender did a great job mixing our cocktails. The service is just lacking. Maybe our server was having a bad day, but that didnt appear to...
Read more(Chesterfield Town Center location) We came in for lunch and the place wasn't busy or packed at all. Just a handful of people, so we were seated by the young lady (host) at the front door and she said the waitress will be over soon. Me and my family waited for about 15 minutes before I started to look around like "where is our server?" I gave it about 5 additional minutes before I walked up to the host and was like "is anyone gonna come take our order?" The host looked confused and asked "Nobody has came over yet?". I replied "no", the host and myself began to walk back towards my table, to look for the server. When I sat down, the host called out towards a slim blonde haired woman who was leaning on a booth top fooling with her cell phone. The host said "they've been waiting" and the waitress came over. I'm guessing she was just distracted mentally because she was forgetting everything, no utensils, no small plates or napkins to help with our appetizers, I had to ask her for everything...Then she disappeared for a long time. I saw my family's food on the pick up window and the cook/manager yelled out "pick up" more than once..another young waitress (not our server) eventually brought the food over to us. I could see the irritation in my family's eyes because we were all hungry and this was unnecessary waiting. Our original waitress eventually came back over and asked us did we need anything and we just wanted some to-go boxes and the check at that point. Great location, Clean place, on a beautiful afternoon I just think my server was a bit too comfortable and...
