This is my review from a bit over a year ago. I haven't gone back: Salt is the engine of flavor and with this sampling of their food it seems the train was left at the station without it. I ordered a simple medium cheese pizza just to get a feel for their pizza and was disappointed. This is a thicker but airy crust with light sauce and minimal tasteless cheese. Seriously I've literally had more flavor from a Totino's frozen pizza. I also ordered the trio of Meatballs as an appetizer and again was disappointed as these seem to have boarded passage on the same flavorless train from which the pizza disembarked. What was really disappointing was that I ordered one traditional pepperoni and one gluten-free pepperoni but when it was time to pick it up they had only made one pizza which they told me was the traditional pepperoni. Disappointed I accepted the order, but I'm suspecting they gave me the gluten-free option as this was the worst pizza I've ever had in my life; as described above.. The manager at the time said she would compensate me for the inconvenience but just charged me full price for the regular pizza, not the gluten-free. Anyway it was a confused mess, I didn't get what I wanted, and what I got was awful. Yes it seems like a good place to take children or folks who like little to no seasoning in their cuisine, but for me I'm obtaining a transfer for alternate destinations, at least when it comes to Pizza and meatballs.

Went here for the first time with family for dinner. I liked the design of the restaurant interior. It had a nice upscale look, reminiscent of The Cheesecake Factory. The menu is pretty small tho. Pizzas, subs, cannoli, salads, appetizers. Mostly hand held foods. I ordered the cheese steak, but sadly the were no fries, it only came with kettle chips, which are not favorite. The sub looked good, however, the meat was not very well seasoned. We got a couple small, thin crust pizzas. They were flavorful but on one, the crust was so soft and thin, it was like a paper towel. Overall, it was decent. Very trendy hangout spot. They sell drinks, there's a fire pit outside & they have a delicious spinach & artichoke dip. With the size of the restaurant, I expected the menu would be much larger. If you're interested in going, I would recommend you look at the menu first to see what they have. The pizzas were good, but if you're looking for a Olive Garden type menu, you will need to look elsewhere.

No Compassion - I’m attending a family funeral from out of town. I took a Lyft from the funeral home to this location to grab a pizza on the way back to the hotel. I walked in 2 minutes before closing. Several people were still eating and I could see the kitchen was still making pizzas. I asked to order a ToGo. The hostess said they were closed and couldn’t place an order. I explained my situation and told her I would have to hire another ride to another restaurant and if they would please slip my order in. She said she couldn’t do it and had asked the manager and he said no. So the hostess and the manager were unwilling to help out someone traveling to this town for a funeral when I technically walked in on time. I even offered a $20 tip. Now as I sit here waiting 24 minutes for another Lyft ride, I thought I would let people know. This establishment just doesn’t care. OK moving on.

Our server, Natalie, was AMAZING and super sweet. She is the only reason I would consider coming back to this location. The issues with our time started when we ordered a sangria pitcher and the manager, herself, brought us extremely visibly dirty glasses with food still stuck in them. We pointed it out, she apologized, and came back with cleaner ones eventually. I ordered a gluten free pizza while the other two people I was with ordered a large regular pizza to split. Well my gluten free pizza came out first, which was fine because it was thinner crust so sometimes they cook quicker. After at least 30 minutes of me getting my pizza, Natalie came over to check on us and realized that they never brought out the large. She apologized profusely and went back to make it right. We eventually did get the large pizza but by this point I had already had enough time to finish my pizza. At the check time, we mentioned that there didn’t seem to be any compensation for the almost hour plus wait for one pizza and the dirty cups. The manager then came out and was very rude and stingy in my opinion. I work in customer service and honestly just wanted to make sure it got taken care of for my friends. At first she tried offering us free pizza coupons for the next time we came in, which I told her wasn’t necessary because it needed to be dealt with on this one since it was messed up. I did not care to get anything off of my ticket. Well, she comes back stating that she gave me $5 off, the other two people $5 as well and an extra $10 for one of them because of the pizza...even though they split it. So one person was paying less than the other, she then fought us when we explained it didn’t seem right and made it seem like a huge inconvenience to fix. She then said “I don’t know what else you want me to do, I basically gave you $20 off. Honestly, I gave you $5 off and I didn’t even have to so.” ....I’m not going to say any more than that. That comment alone should tell you why this is a one star. Natalie was 5 stars...management and the kitchen need a lot...

We were reluctant to go back to this restaurant but I'm BEYOND super glad we did! Our first visit results were way below expectations. However, we met the owner today (Susan) who had the best hospitality! We found out her husband had passed around the time of our first visit so I can't fault her nor the business for that. Our confident updated review is here:

Our pizzas were evenly crisped well (edges and bottom layer). The toppings were even, moist, and well distributed (I didn't have to rebuild my own pizza lol). The crust was the perfect thickness (about 1") and seasoned well, crisp and seasoned on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pizzas when held up normally were nice and horizontal and did not droop down. The pizzas were NOT greasy at all (big plus) and were easy to eat. We ordered a Medium "Wild In Havana", a Small "Funky Q. Chicken", a Lunch Special "2 slices and drink", and "Mushroom Soup". We loved the unique pizza flavors which really worked well! The mushroom soup was one notch above any other restaurant we've been to. We had a soda, a peach tea, and a sweet tea which the teas were super fresh (I'm picky about freshness of tea).

The Value in this meal was spot on for the uniqueness, environment, and phenomenal cooking of the choicest ingredients. The kids enjoyed all the funky artwork, murals, and things to look at inside. The bathrooms ARE the cleanest in the area. This location is updated, upbeat, modern, and GOOD.

Our waitress (Annamei deserves a raise) was very nice and had great communication skills. She kept our drinks full and made sure everything was going well at all the right times. The background music was nice, it wasn't too loud, and the dining room was the perfect temperature on a HOT 104°F day. This was some of the best pizza I've had in over a decade and I am proud of the owner for caring so much to continue providing such a GREAT experience. WE...

Mellow Mushroom has always been a favorite spot of mine. Unfortunately this mellow mushroom could have used another week or 2 of soft openings to work out the kinks. All in all the Friday night rush seemed to overwhelm the kitchen and the wait staff. We were seated outside promptly but waited 15 minutes for waters. We ordered when the water came and then waited over an hour for our food. We checked with our waitress as well as the manager to see what was taking so long. We had ordered two appetizers which came at separate times and two items for our meal which also came at separate times. (And only after prompting for each) Our waitress struggled with even the easiest tasks and often would pass us without glancing down even with empty water glasses in front of us. Upon receiving the check we asked for the manager who came and apologized profusely and offered to make things right. He seemed overwhelmed as well.

The manager seems like a good guy and the food was very good. He was very courteous and really seemed to want things to I work better. He mentioned that on other days things had run very smoothly but that it had been a disaster of a day.

If you want to try it, look to go at an off hour. (We arrived at 5pm on a Friday). But if you want to go on a weekend, give them a few more weeks to figure out how to cope with the demand and figure which wait staff are able to handle working at such a busy time.

I told the manager that I would try again because every restaurant has a bad night. (Although this was the worst I've experienced by far). I'll update this review when I...
