My husband and I came to this Denny,'s We're just used to this location, but this area of Midvale has gotten much worse as far as homeless drug addicts SO becareful of the people in this area. I'm not being judgemental about the homeless, it's just not a very great neighborhood, anyway we arrived kinda later than we had planned for. My husband got a burger, plain with extra pickles and frenchfries, but asked for the Seasoned French fries and a chocolate shake to drink. I ordered the Sup we r slam$ 9.99with a coffee & a small O.J. . I LOVE breakfast though. Mine was delicious. So our order comes out and my husband gets his burger, but it didn't come with the Seasoned fries. No big deal. He just reminded the sever & he came back out with the Seasoned fries. They were very good and then my husband found a hair on his plate and he lost his appetite. I told my husband to say something to the server, but he didn't want to. He didn't want to be a hassle . We got a couple To-go boxes and the check. About $34... total. So when I go to that front to pay. I told the server, I have never seen this action before by any type of, customer Service person and he snapped at me & it was almost like a small fit, and he says, UGH, WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING THEN??!! There's nothing I can do now!!! He's upset that ww didn't say something sooner. So I just paid the bill and left. It's going to be a VERY LONG TIME, IF I ever go back to that location. The server did everything else well, except for handling the bill. He could have done something he just chose not to. I know I waited tables for over 5 years and I've had to have guests meals taken off the guests ticket. LOTS of times. Read moreI was in there Sunday morning with a large party group for breakfast. I usually come in here twice a month and have had a good experience before. This time it wasn't as pleasant. Our server first started by forgetting what drinks we all had and took about 20 minutes to even get coffee out to us. Once all drinks were finally served he started taking food orders. I noticed that he kept struggling on taking orders so when he came to me I tried to make it easier and point to the item on the menu that I wanted. He repeated it and sounded right. 45 minutes went by and he never said anything about our order coming out or taking longer. Finally after kids started being fuzzy from sitting in a high chair for over an hour now, we decided to ask. He said it was just too busy and they go by order the customer comes in. Which was incorrect because the tables next to us (with different servers) had came in after us and had got their food. Finally after 1.5 hours we got our food which was either missing items or the wrong items ordered. He said he would get a side of everything missing/wrong, which he did. Finally the bill arrived and he had charged all "Side" items. My wife talked to the manager which was nice to discount 20% off. But after we paid we notice the the 20% didn't even cover the extra costs the server charged. Read moreImmediately upon entering a woman asked us to buy food for her children, who were with her... about 7 & 10yo. It was incredibly awkward that the manager had allowed that to happen. I'm a soft touch & said I would buy the 2 boy's meals. The mom said thanks & the kids weren't given kids menus. They seated them across from us, again so uncomfortable!
Their order was taken while we waited another 15 minutes for our order to be taken. We were the ONLY 2 table in the entire place. They got the food to go. The woman did not make eye contact & you'll see why later.
Our food finally came about after another 20 min & mine was completely wrong. Waited another 10 min only to have it need partially right. I gave up at that point and made do with what they had served. Our bill was $29.
Imagine my surprise when their bill was nearly $50! The server said that she questioned that they ordered 4 meals but didn't ask me if that was OK. Mind you, they knew that I had only said I would buy a meal for the kids! All of this could have been avoided had the manager just done his job and not allowed us to be accosted as we entered the restaurant. Way to pad your intake for the day Mr. Manager.
