First, the food is great and Google is spot on for busy and no wait times Food was quick after being ordered, looked delicious, tasted delicious and had large portions. Biscuits were a little dry and the eggs a bit undercooked. When I mixed up the eggs a bit after adding pepper, it was more obvious that they were uncooked. Coffee was filled quickly without asking, as well as waters. Two things stood out to me as huge CONS. 1. Seating in the back was so close, it was uncomfortable and claustrophobic. If you don't want your elbow touching the person at the next table, I do NOT suggest coming. 2. One of the two hostesses was a pretty horrible with customer service. Very unprofessional and I was mad for a table next to us. 2 women were sat in a table next to our party of 4, due to such closeness, they moved from a 2 top to a corner booth. A hostess came back and stated that they save those for parties of 4 or more and when asked if she could find them a space not so close to another table, the hostess left to check. When the hostess returned, her words were, "I am unable to find something else, we are full up front. So, I will let you get away with it this time but next time we can't." WHAT!? I was so irritated by the lack of professional approach to customers. They weren't getting away with anything. If even your waitresses and waiters can't comfortably serve the customers in the back room, that's your problem, not the customers. All that being said, I don't believe I'd come back. The low cost and large portions aren't worth the claustrophobic feel and rudeness.

This is by FAR the BEST restaurant I have ever been to. To start with, the second I walked in, I was afraid of the price, because of how perfectly clean everything was, but the price was astounding low for the sheer amount of food, for 20$ I had gotten 3 crepes (That filled the entire plate.) With a mountain of fresh fruit, perfectly cooked hash browns, and 4 of the longest and most perfectly cooked strips of bacon. And the service was above and beyond, everyone was so very polite and kind, it honestly felt like we were royalty. The food came out in less than 10 minutes, I was completely stunned, everything and I mean everything was pure perfection. It honestly made my whole week. And from where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen and it was SPOTLESS, I have worked in a few kitchens before, so you expect at the very least a little bit of dirt or what not, but it was completely SPOTLESS, the floors were clean enough that you could eat off them. And I usually never have to get a to go box, but I had to because the food was so amazing and filling. Overall the whole experience was PERFECT. I wish I could give a 10000/10 review because this restaurant has earned it.

I’ve been hooked on The Original Pancake House for 25 years, visiting locations from Charlotte, NC, to Las Vegas, NV, to Redmond, WA, and many in between. The food is always good, and the service is consistently solid. That said, the price is becoming a tough pill to swallow—nearly $18 per person. After recently trying several competing breakfast spots, I’ve found the cost at those places to be noticeably lower. My go-to is a Ham and Cheese omelette, and while the quality here remains high, I was disappointed that this location still charges for the sides, even when I opted out of pancakes or hashbrowns to avoid carbs. There is no flexibility the server said, get the sides or pay the same. I went with the buttermilk pancakes (don't tell my wife). The pancakes were delicious, just trying to change my eating habits. Overall, it’s a reliable spot with good food and service, but the pricing structure and rising costs make it harder to justify compared to other breakfast options.

We dined at OPH this morning. The food was good the service was good. Until it got bad. My husband ordered the waffle combo, (eggs, choice of meat, and waffle with pecans). He said he would like the waffle with pecans, he said how he wanted his egg over medium, and he chose bacon. When we got the bill, he had charged everything à la cart. I asked why he did it like that and he said “oh you wanted the combo?” I said that it should have gone in as a combo. And he then said that my husband asked for sides. And he didn’t say the word “combo”. My husband said that he wanted the combo. The server said he would fix it. It was only a few dollars but times are tight. When suddenly the manager came over and said they can’t change the ticket due to company policy because my husband didn’t use the word combo. The waiter said he asked for sides. He never said the word “sides.” Manager is Felix. I couldn’t believe it! I have never had that experience before. He also said that the servers said my husband ordered “sides. So he was calling him a liar. We go out to eat quite a bit. I told him I couldn’t believe they he would not fix a few dollars. Felix also said “I don’t want to get into a he said/she said situation.” We have been going to OPH for 20 years because of their service and food. We remember when Wendy owned the downtown location and when she sold it. After that things started going downhill. We live in Midvale so we were at the Midvale location. We will no longer go to OPH and we will stop recommending them. What kind of a policy is that! They lost two...

I’m a regular at this location - love the Dutch baby. Probably come once a week and some of the servers recognize me since I usually have a motorcycle helmet with me. I bring them quite a lot of business.

Sometimes I post up for a few hours, and when I do, I always leave at least a 20% tip for every hour I had the table so that the servers aren’t missing out on tips by my party occupying the table.

I’ve always had a great experience with the staff and have never had any complaints, which is why my experience today was so shocking.

After my party had been there for a couple hours, a blonde guy (employee) who wasn’t our server came to the table and told us there was a 2 hour wait and that we needed to leave.

Couple things: 1- our server hadn’t even brought our check yet 2- there were several empty tables and no one in the lobby

So, my friend and I paid (I left a 60% tip) and left then hung out outside to finish our conversation, and the same guy who told us to leave came to talk to us.

He said “oh it looks like a lot of the people who who were on the wait list aren’t showing up so you can come back to your table if you want”

He said some other stuff to try to cover his tracks and it was clear that he was embarrassed. Which he should have been.

Anyway, I’m just disappointed because the spot I thought was my neighborhood hang feels very unwelcoming now.

I also frequent Sharon’s in Holladay, and it’s impossible to overstate how much more friendly and welcome I feel there.

Hope this place can get it together so I don’t have to learn how to make my...
