HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE -- My Husband & I were in Gahanna on business and decided to stop by for dinner. As we walk in, we hear an employee (older gentleman) on the phone speaking to a customer (assumingly), "Ok..Ok...so whatchu want on the sub? Ok..Ok" Then he hangs up. The employee proceeds to take a few orders before us, then it is our turn. After being asked by the employee; my husband provided my order (a cold sub) and then was asked what his was. As my husband was speaking, the employee literally reached down, picked up the phone & just started taking another order. NEVER excused himself, NEVER apologized and then asked my husband to repeat himself. After we paid, we were waiting for my husbands sandwich. We were the only ones left in the lobby, and then we hear an employee holler (yes, holler across the lobby) if we had the "philly". My husband said yes, and a younger man (the cook) came out to our table and just handed my husband the sandwich. My husband asked, "Is this the Cali Chicken Philly?" The young man just shrugged his shoulders & walked off. He opens the sandwich, it is NOT the correct sandwich and it has pork on it (which he does not eat). We let the older employee know, and my husband tells him he will just the one he has and he took the pork off. After awhile, my husband is eating his food (mouth full) & the younger man walks out & literally just puts another sandwich in his face (employee never said a word). As he wasn't expecting the sandwich, my husband just looks down (again mouth is full), looks back up & shakes his head in confusion. The employee turns around & literally launched the second sandwich across the lobby. We had enough. My Husband went up to counter & tried to speak to the older man, all he kept saying was "So whatchu want me to do?" My Husband broke everything down, from the time we walked in to the sandwich launch. This employee was so dismissive, & rude it's disgusting. Then the young man walks out & decides to hop in the conversation saying, "I don't know what ALL languages y'all speak but a head shake 'No" means NO universally." The ignorance he showed my Husband was the last straw. My Husband IS American, born & raised in Columbus. He just happened to be wearing a head cover because he is growing out his Locs. But this young man decided to be prejudice & assume my Husband didn't speak English. Both employees at different times stood there, being indignant, unruly in tone & absolutely unprofessional. The level of aggressiveness that the younger man showed by not communicating (he actually stated "I just bring out the food, I don't talk to no one) and acting out in anger was juvenile & scary. We will never go back to this place & I certainly do not recommend anyone go there either. * UPDATE* Owner has been in contact with us. She has apologized, refunded visit in full & expressed plans for Customer Service reform with her team at this location. She owns a few locations, and they honestly...
Read moreNot impressed with the staff that I saw today as a first time customer at this location. I ordered the Portabella Mushroom @ Swiss sandwich online added bacon to it. I selected this sandwich because I love portabellas and the option to add the bacon was intriguing, I'm not vegetarian by any means. After I collected my order, I got to my car and took a few bites. At first I noticed that there were no green peppers on the sub (which is listed in the description of the sub), then I saw that there was cheesesteak on the sub as well. I contemplated just eating the sub but decided to get a new one because I wanted what I ordered. When I brought the sub back in, I mentioned the peppers were missing and the extra meat was on the sub. Instead of realizing that the sub was made incorrectly, the lady at the counter argued with me about the fact that I added bacon to my sub so that's why there was meat on it. It took three times to explain to the staff that the sub that is advertised does not come with cheesesteak on it, hence it being in the Meatless section of their menu. I asked for a new one to be made. Once the new one was made and wrapped up I was asked again if I wanted bacon on the sandwich. I said yes I asked for bacon. The guy had to unwrap the sub and put bacon on it, and he did so WITHOUT ANY GLOVES ON. TOUCHING THE BACON AND MY SUB WITH HIS BARE HANDS. I was over it at this point and left with my sandwich... Read moreAvoid lunch time. I ordered lunch here last Thursday and if no line during lunch is any indication of the terrible customer service here, I don't know what is. There were 3 people working and each of them had some problem with being there. One lady asked how I wanted to modify my sandwich so when I told her how to modify the second one, she told me not to (And I quote) "worry about it here, worry about it down there" and pointed to where the toppings were. The cash register was acting funny, so rather than apologize or offer an explanation, I was made to just stand there and wait until the woman was finished, with no apology for the wait. While I waited on my second sandwich, I was rudely asked if I could "like step over there so I can check him out". They were incredibly rude. I won't be coming back and the only reason I didn't take my money to one of the busier restaurants is because my mom told me this place was good. Very disappointed. Maybe hire people who come to work to work? This was an awful experience. Pick somewhere else. There's plenty to choose from where the workers...
