Smoothie King — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

First experience @ smoothie king. I had just wanted a smoothie.. so the kind girl behind the counter helped me out by stating “how’s blueberry, strawberries & raspberry” that sounded perfect & so simple. I thanked her for taking the anxiety off me & proceeded to check out. The credit card machine failed to work... after waiting about 5 mins, I paid cash & moved on. There was a heavier set guy making the smoothies, he was not personable, made zero eye contact & that’s fine honestly, you’re there to do your job but from this cheerful cashier to this dull dark cloud.. it was a bummer. I asked if the smoothie had a sweetener in it.. he said “no, not at all” so I asked if he could add some type of sweetness rather it be honey, sugar, syrup just something to take the tart (if there would be) down. You would’ve thought I asked this boy to add 5 new ingredients & lend me $50 or something because he made a ridiculous fuss over sweetener. He turns his back to me ask ‘permission’ from the busy cashier.. I wait an additional 3 mins or so - not sure why you can’t just pop some sweetener in the smoothie & I can be on about my day.. he gets her attention; she looks at him coy & says “yeah, add the sweetener” she looked as puzzled as I was.. he then says “I have to get approval for sweetener” yeah, okay. Sure. He throws my straw at me on the table & proceeds to his next order.

HORRIBLE. i had bought a greek yogurt pineapple mango smoothie with kale, orange juice and strawberries. I should’ve already known it was going to go bad when the employee didn’t think it was an actual smoothie from the menu. first time it literally wasn’t my what I ordered. i’m a regular and order the same smoothie every smoothie king I go to. I had told them my order wasn’t right and a member remade it but gave it to my laughing. I was tempted not to go off on the unprofessionalism and inaccuracy here. what was even funny about handing me a smoothie ??? then the smoothie was even more way off from what I order the first time I could even tell by the color of the smoothie I just threw it out the window bc it...

I’ve visit this location numerous times and at first the service was great! However after several encounters with a particular group of staff on certain days including today it’s becoming very unpleasant. I’ve reached out to the corporate office and I received a response that the behavior of an employee was due to a loss of a family member which I can understand however that was almost 6 months ago and nothing has changed. It’s even to the point I’ve walked out when I see that group of employees staffed because my order is usually messed up and they are unable to follow simple directions and very unpleasant.
