This used to be our favorite McDonalds for our kids to connect with their friends. The food is fantastic every time, other than fighting for more than 3 ketchup packets for a 20 piece nuggets and large fries. we will no longer eat from this establishment. I was there with my two friends and our children. The kids were eating and having a great conversation and laughing. Then a much older man, who was working there came over and told our children to " keep it down and be quiet because they are disturbing the kitchen from making orders. Our children were laughing. Our children are also all neurodivergent, as am I. They are autistic, and I have Tourette's and ADHD. They were clearly having a great time together and no one around us seemed to be bothered considering it was very loud in there to begin with! The woman who was calling out order numbers was screaming them at the top of her lungs and did it multiple times for every order. Even as people stood directly in front of her she would scream. Now if you live in Milford, you know who this arrogant fake nice man is that works there and mostly in the drive thru. He is always condescending and always lets me know he doesn't need to be working, he chooses to. Not that I ever asked him. But he says he works for fun, but no one had fun today! I informed him that they can't be quiet and that they aren't disrupting anyone with their laughter. H then informed me they are disrupting the kitchen. Then I asked him if there was an area they had for disabled people so we could continue our lunch and not have to do so in silence. He informed me they do not have such an area and that we just needed to be quiet. So I informed him that we will leave so the kitchen staff can do their job in silence, since the McDonalds needs to be completely silent, no laughing or it just wants it to be without disabled people. It's hard enough having people always staring at us, but to embarrass us and make us feel unwelcome. For a grown man to come to our table and tell our children to be quiet! The audacity and ignorance of this miserable older man is absolutely NOT ok! He should definitely not be working with the public till he is educated on the fact that we have a right to be in a public place. It's against the law to discriminate against people with disabilities. This should NOT be happening a few days before 2025! Why are people still...
Read moreAlthough mostly everyone misses the old, classic look of McDonalds restaurants, I can say that not much has changed. There is plenty of parking, it's never been an issue. The service is still great, and the kiosks are a great addition for skipping the line. However, the kiosks do have a tendency to not print your receipt for reasons unknown to me.
The food is still what it has always been, though I do think McDonalds should not have removed so many of their food options over the years (like McWraps). For a fast food place, McDonalds is cheaper than other fast food places, and a great place to go if on a tight budget (Especially the $1.26 any size sodas). The general price per-person is $10, though by using the McDonalds app (not sponsored), you can save lots of money by using whatever fries deal they have (free any size fries with minimum purchase of $2) and then purchasing the other menu items separately. This alone usually saves about $4 from the average meal price.
Service is still as good as it was before the renovation. Joe the Manager is always keeping the mood up high, and walks up to your table every once in a while to ensure you're satisfied. The employees are also very nice, and provide customer service when asked.
The atmosphere is much more professional than pre-renovation, although it's still very well kept, with staff keeping the tables clean as people leave. The exterior of the establishment is also well kept, with smooth pavement and a clean front lawn.
An extra note I'd like to add as a graduate from Johnathan Law High School, is that this McDonalds is walking distance (3-5 minutes with average walking speeds) from the school. This makes it a great place to hang out with friends, while also grabbing a quick bite.
(P.S: I don't have a review on the drive through, as I've personally never used it before at this...
Read moreBad service, what was the cashiers name again? Isabelle something. What’s the point in enjoying my meal if they’re being so rude to me and my family? I’ve been to countless McDonald’s and this one just ruined my appetite. Plus this was at 1 AM, I get it you’re tired but are you the one paying? You’re the one being paid. I tried using a coupon and Ms.Isabelle declined my coupon, saying it doesn’t work.. When she clearly didn’t even try to punch in the code. So I got my phone and when I came back Isabelle and the other co-workers were talking about what happened earlier, saying that I made up the numbers.(Which I clearly didn’t, because I took an online survey and got the code, I just wrote it down on the paper)So after trying to get their attention, I used the coupon on Mcdonald’s app with my phone and this time it was accepted (thankfully) then I asked her, “Why didn’t you accept this coupon?” She replied with “It no work here.” What? Okay, okay, so she’s telling me I can’t use the code I got FROM ONLINE, and I can use this other code on the McDonald’s app? They both came from McDonald, but apparently one just doesn’t work? The one on paper didn’t say I had to be in a certain area to use it, but the cashier is telling me that it doesn’t work in Connecticut? Outrageous, I can’t even tell if this is racism or something else. I am Chinese, but I’ve been living here my whole life, and once again I have never EVER experienced this type of service, just can’t believe that people actually give you attitude. I tried taking a picture of Isabella and record what was happening with my phone, but Isabella told me that “No phones allowed.” I asked her, “But there’s co-workers using their phone.” But instead of getting a reply she told me to get out, without my food that was...
