I have been coming here on and off for some time. NOT ANYMORE!!! The company offers a card that gets punched every time you buy a drink and after the tenth purchase/drink you get a free one. Over the time coming here I have forgotten the card or it was in my wife's car and had to get a new one. I now have multiple punched cards thinking I could either have them handed in together or just show the cashier and they would combine the 2 cards. I was not rude or impolite in any way and upon asking to combine the two cards that I was told "NO". Imagine my surprise. I asked why cant you just take the smaller of the two cards and tear it up and just punch mine or I can wait until I have enough (10 Punches) and hand them both in. Again I was told for the better part..."NO". I don't know about you but I like to go to smaller Mom and Pop stores and not use the big chain corps. I don't have the time or patience to argue with what looked like a teenager serving me about why it would be bad business to not honor the multiple cards. I for one will NOT be going back to this store/hut and will now find another place to purchase my morning coffee. IN RESPONSE TO OWNER I appreciate you responding to my review but I have to state that ALL of the stores I shop at that use the cards are made of plastic and are like a credit card. Of course they don't combine them. Your card is a standard business card that cost pennies on the dollar. We are talking about pennies! What you are stating is that you would rather lose a customer for 5 cents out of pocket cost because that's too much money to waste for repeat clients??? Fine by me because I will NEVER set foot near your store again over a simple cardboard card that cost you pennies...LOL! Have a...
Read moreThere’s something special about a town like Milford. Things move a little slower, faces become familiar, and your favorite spots start to feel like second homes. For me, that spot is The Daily Grind — hands down the best coffee in town.
It’s got that perfect local balance: there is a walk-up window if you feel like stretching your legs, but most days, like today, I just pull into the little drive-thru. Nothing fancy. No massive menu board or speaker crackling back at you — just real people who actually remember your face.
And today? That small-town magic showed up in full force.
I was running on fumes. Barely awake. I rolled up to the window and started to say “mocha,” but I didn’t even get the full order out. The barista looked at me, smiled, and said: “You want the raspberry, right?”
That moment stopped me. Not because they got my drink right — but because they knew. I’d officially become a regular.
It hit different. In a world full of anonymity and autopilot service, this was connection. Real, local, human. That’s what The Daily Grind is all about.
Yes, the Raspberry Mocha is perfect. Yes, the coffee is strong and smooth and full of actual flavor. But it’s that feeling — of being seen, remembered, and welcomed — that’ll keep me coming back again and again.
Milford has its quiet charm, and The Daily Grind is a big part of why I...
Read moreMe and hubby did some sightseeing and one of the local shops recommended this place. They should change the discription from coffee house to coffee stand. It's so hot out now in the summer and they only have very limited patio furniture. No wifi either. So much for relaxing with my coffee. Someone in front of me ordered food and I'm sure that's why it took 15 minutes to get my vanilla cold brew that didn't feel cold. The taste was good though. Very pricey. Which I have no problem paying if there's some kind of ammenities. No AC, no place to sit, and no bathrooms. The staff was really nice. I couldn't image going through their "drive thru" The building itself is in the middle of a parking lot with giant cluster of cars everywhere either parked or driving. I would consider giving them another shot if they switched locations.
EDIT: After reviewing the owner's responses, I am glad we will not be coming back to Milford's Daily Grind. Perhaps a simple "google search" will tell you how to provide better customer service. We've been back to Milford since then and our needs were met at Cafe Wren. I have no issues paying money for good stuff!! Peace...
