Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Millcreek Township

do recommend Applebee's on a regular basis. I will continue to recommend Applebee's to friends and family. I will especially recommend the manager, Jamie, as she was helpful and polite during a difficult time this evening.

However, I will not recommend anyone to be served by Matt G., who was my family's server this evening. Unbeknownst to us of the unfortunate circumstances an employee was having, we said something about not having recieved food we ordered and when we did get it our entree was already at the table. When asked if it could be boxed, we said no and continued to eat. Matt then came back and rather than politely excuse the disorganization of the meal and explain the circumstances, he was rude and when my wife commented why she would not eat the food that was late is due to the condition of it (She's 8 months pregnant, and not eating something if it looks wrong) he stated oh so its the hormones. He handled the situation poorly, unprofessionally and rather aggressively.

Overall, our experience was fine and we wouldn't of said a thing to management, had Matt not been verbally aggressive and rude when we sent food back. We would have happily paid for the meals and gone on with our evening. But my wife's "hormones" don't reapond well to being verbally accosted.

Friends had given us a gift card, for my Birthday. We hadn't been there for quite a long time, but it was worth it. Just a little menu shock, prices were a little more than what we expected, since the last time we went there 5 yrs ago. Instead of up to $10, price's were $10-$20 for most item's. Our waiter was very understanding, knew that we had a budget and we had come there w/a gift card to celebrate my Birthday. He didn't have to, but just the same, gave us another coupon for 40% off our bill. My wife enjoyed her Broccoli Grilled Chicken Alfredo, fairly large Sierra Mist, and I enjoyed the Prime Rib Hoagie w/Beef Au Jus, Seasoned Cut Fries, and the Coor's On-Tap 16oz Beer. If you wanted Water, they'd give it to you, no extra charge. They had at least 5 or 6 Beer's On-Tap, popular during the year. Just NOT Seasonal or Micro Brewed flavored Beer. So those are out; to bad, it would've made Dinner Perfect. They do have Seasonal Burger's and Cocktail's, so it's not a total waste of your money. Plus, they have 2 for one Special's for those who want to keep within Budget. We usually get them, normally, but it was my Birthday. Last evening, our party of 6 stopped at Applebee's on our way to the Erie Playhouse Theater for a night out with the girls. We placed our 6 orders. 6 orders came out, but one was incorrect. The waitress came out on her own. we said nothing of the error and removed the incorrect one, which was chicken tenders. The order was to be hot honey BBQ boneless chicken wings. The 5 of use continued on with our meals, and as we had just about finished, our meal here the one which we were waiting for came out. We asked for a to go container, and with that, she said that is not allowed because it is all you can eat. We explained to her that we had to get to the Theater. With that all being said, we asked for a manager. After the manager had a lengthy conversation with the waitress she came over and said, that the tenders were removed from the check and the hot honey BBQ, too we thanked her and the manager gave us to go containers. I stated that no one was going to see what was in the containers, and we never asked for another round of servings for the special.
