Iāve been to this location several times and generally the treatment Iāve received from the employees has been the same (not very good) but today was the worst theyāve ever treated me so I had to leave a review. First of all, when I first walked in, there were bugs crawling across the wall by where they make the food. The restaurant in general has never seemed all too clean. I came with my dad one time who literally does restaurant and food factory inspections for the government and while he wasnāt there to work and inspect them, he did notice that there were several things that wouldnāt pass inspection. But back to the treatment the employees gave me, my experience was specifically with I think the manager, the taller guy with glasses and longish brown hair, but I could be wrong about him being the manager. Previous times that Iāve been to this specific location and other locations, Iāve gotten a kids size burrito because the regular size ones are usually too big for me to finish. Other employees have made my food before and Iāve been happy with the portions they put on it but today, this guy was making mine and put the smallest possible portions of toppings on my burrito. So I asked if he could put more on as that is what other employees have done without issue, to which he said āDid you wants a kids size or a regular?ā So I said kids and he proceeded to not add anything else to it and finished wrapping it. I didnāt say anything because I didnāt want to argue or cause problems and proceeded to pay. As I was walking away from the register, I heard him say āIf you wanted more, you should order a regular size, not a kids size.ā I donāt know if he meant for me to hear this or not but it was very upsetting because I didnāt think I was asking for too much for a kids size. I have worked customer service before and would have been reprimanded or fired for comments like that, whether it was valid or not. Iāve also worked as a manager before and would have been pissed if my employees made such comments, especially with customers within earshot. Had he not said anything, I wouldnāt have cared or been so upset to leave this review. Ā Ā Ā Read moreGot a water cup instead of getting 8 salsa cups which fills up a water cup to lid that I normally get recently I just started back going because of the better service and food but instead tonight voiced across the restaurant that I canāt get that much and I have to pay for it when I got two order so I proceeded to get my 4 cups that he said I could only get per order which there is no sign for posted that itās the only amount we can get which I think itās just because after 8 they rush and turn off the sign because heās ready to go and donāt want to refill anything and use the same spoon for different things causing cross contamination if you come in after 8 you are a nuisance and Iām not ordering here again
This is my second review because it would not let me post another one. I decided to go back because the other employee does great service when he is there but I decided to go back for some comfort food from my favorite restaurant do to my grandmothers passing. And I was met by the same employee who smirked when I walked in mentioning my review saying ā I thought you said you werenāt going to come in here again then proceeded to say why donāt I just go to chipotleā one I donāt go to chipotle because of my allergies and two I really like the food here I shouldnāt be ran off by someone because Iām hungry and I spend more than 20 dollars every time I come inside. I had to tell him that Iām not here to argue and go back and forth about my food when Iām generally a very nice person. Then to satisfy him I said I will pay for a bigger cup to get more than 4 cups for my order and he charges me for another chips and salsa for my order when itās what it already comes with and catches an attitude when I said I donāt want to pay for another bag of chips. Itās a way to speak with customers and also run P&L. If you treat your customers well they will be more inclined to pay whatever because they feel wanted not like a nuisance. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI WAS QUITE LITERALLY ASKED IF MY BOYFRIEND WAS AUTISTIC BECAUSE HE WANTED HIS BURRITO TOPPINGS IN A BOWL AND THE TORTILLA ON THE SIDE. WHICH IS A COMMON REQUEST. THIS GIRL ARGUED WITH ME FOR 5 MINUTES ABOUT MY REQUEST. SAYING IT WAS THE WEIRDEST THING SHE HAS EVER HEARD, ASKING "WHY WOULD YOU EVEN WANT THAT??" FOR 5 MINUTES!!!! I almost thought she was not going to even do it for me when we have ordered his food like this at least 10 times at the same location. then on top of that rude comment, THAT SHE DID NOT SAY IN A JOKING MANNER, she was quite literally flinging the toppings on my food. FLICKING her fingers to get all the juice off of her "super sanitary" gloves. I had to explain to her how to put the toppings in a bowl and the tortilla in aluminum foil. By this point i was in shock. When I finally got to the cash register I then asked for a drink to be added to my total. When I completed the payment I then asked for my drink cup and a different girl said "it doesn't come with a drink," to which i replied " but I asked to buy one.... i asked for a drink" to which she looked at me blankly, and said "yeah.." KEEP IN MIND I STILL LEFT A TIP EVEN WITH THE UNPROFESSIONALISM I EXPERIENCED. this is actually the worst experience I have ever had at a barbs location and I do not plan on going back. I have never been ridiculed for the way I want my food, even with such a simple request (which is literally less work than having to roll the burrito up). Anyways, do...
