The sushi was my favorite, so when our granddaughters wanted sushi for their birthdays, we took the whole bunch with us. Good Chinese food, clean food areas, 15 to 20 different options of Chinese Dishes, but don't worry if you don't like Chinese Cuisine they have fried chicken legs, wings, chicken nuggets, calamari, shrimp, onion rings, deviled eggs, salad fruits, and more for you. They cook the food in small batches and are constantly running it out. Food is fresh all day long. We've eaten at several different times. At 12 noon, it's most crowded. I witnessed 10 to 12 customers leave due to no place to sit. If you're in a hurry, come early or about 12:30PM. We've come for lunch as late as 2, and they're still hopping. It's busy because it's good. There are 20 to 30 other places to eat nearby, yet the China Wok Buffet stays full. Depends on who your waitress is if you get good service. The man we had was top-notch. Older lady let us run out of water, and when we asked for it, she said sure, absolutely, but never brought it. The younger lady was very attentive even though the place was packed out! Greater is a kind gentleman, as is man on register. You wait to be seated and pay as you leave. They have generous sized booths, and the tables and chairs are of good quality no rickety mess. I'm plus sized and felt safe and comfortable. They have steamed rice in a rice cooker near the fruit bar. Salad bar has few options, but is neat and kept filled. We like cream cheese in our sushi. My daughter asked when we didn't see any, and the chef made us several options of rolls with it. We've been satisfied with the food every time we've eaten here. They have takeout. The staff doesn't rush you, but out of respect for others, not a place to sit around and visit when you're finished eating. Sadly, some...
Read moreVery nice. Restaurant to take your family to. However , the string beans could have been cooked a little bit more. The lomien was a little bit on the soupy side. The calamari were very tasty. The shrimp also was very tasty. I would suggest that they find a new york chinese person to do their cooking. The waitress was very attentive. I will definitely go there again. But they must pay attention to what reviewers are saying and try to make adjustments. I am from the New York metro area and this food was good but not great if you want great chinese food you must go to the new york metro area and that's where you will find it. Again, I would hope that the people at China Wok are looking at the reviews and reading them closely. People who posting are the people who are getting you the business so you must pay attention to what people are saying. I would hope that the restaurant manager reviews my post and takes in the consideration. What I am saying this is only constructive criticism.Nothing really bad about what i'm saying. Again, get yourself another cook and you will receive a 5 star rating nationwide. When people come to your little town and tourists and see the type of quality food that you can put out. Your staff they are really good people and hard workers. But you must answer these posts. You cannot ignore these posts so please accept the constructive criticism. I will return to your restaurant next year And I hope by that time you have gotten...
Read moreI travel all over Georgia for work, and AYCE (All You Can Eat) buffets are my favorite style of dining, with Chinese cuisine being my go-to flavor. Out of all the Chinese buffets I’ve tried across the state, this one stands out as my absolute favorite.
The atmosphere is pleasant—not particularly remarkable, but certainly nothing to detract from the experience or warrant losing a star. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff is always attentive, constantly cleaning up behind customers while still making time to answer questions.
The kitchen and buffet staff deserve special recognition for their tireless efforts to keep the buffet items fresh and well-stocked. Watching how efficiently they manage this process is genuinely impressive—it’s a testament to excellent restaurant management.
The restaurant isn’t large or fancy, but every dish is cooked perfectly and delivers the familiar, satisfying flavors you’d expect from "Americanized Chinese" food. The consistent quality I’ve experienced at China Wok Buffet speaks volumes about the dedication of the owner and management team. They are clearly committed to providing an unexpectedly high-quality dining experience in small-town Georgia.
I look forward to eating here every time I’m in town—it’s a must-visit for anyone craving excellent Chinese...
