Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Milton

Yesterday, Memorial Day we tried to order for pick up. We were in the parking lot at the time. Upon calling in a very nice gentleman on the phone was taking our order. Firstly, we ordered ribs. In the background we hear someone say we’re out of ribs. OK it’s memorial Day. It’s a barbecue place but we’ll try again next we ordered baby back. Again someone said we’re out of them. We go on to make other choices which they had. When it was time to close the conversation to place the order we were then told it would be about 40 minute wait. Firstly, how can you be out of ribs On memorial day you are a barbecue place? Secondly, why not start the conversation with we’d be happy to take your order. Please know there’s a 40 minute wait. I’m sure there were people trying to order but were placed on hold because of his wasting the time and speaking with me and not letting me know how long it would be. Also, why was the person not informed of the items they were out of prior to folks trying to order? We canceled the order so it was probably a 25 minute waste of time. Very disappointing. Good atmosphere, extremely overstaffed which made for better service but more chaotic, assuming because it's new. Little on pricey side of things, but food was excellent so can't complain really there. My sandwich did arrive to me with no sauce. So had to ask for some (30 second wait at most). The bun did get soggy really quick, so I ended up eatting half my sandwich without it( recommend toasting slightly maybe ) Didn't like being asked for a tip before any food or service is given. Especially when options are 18%-20% for an 18 dollar meal. Ordered cheese biscuits (delicious) for our table due to being unaware each our meals came with one. Wasn't sure what to do if I wanted a beer with my meal, no real waitress/waiter, which highly deterred me from having one. Little confusing with so many employees walking around and didn't want to have to charge my card again and probably be asked for yet another tip.

This is a wonderful restaurant for very high-quality barbecue, sides, and all of the fixings. You can count on great service, super fresh food, pleasant and clean environment. I would give this place a six star if I could.

The cheese biscuits are warm, crisp around the edges, moist within, sweet, and slightly cheesy. These little gems are heavenly. I love that their corn on the cob is fresh and just perfect. Their Mac and cheese is oh-so rich, thick, silky, and creamy. Seriously still thinking about their baby back ribs! Can’t wait...
