Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist — Attraction in Milwaukee

Beautiful church inside and out. I’ve been here for my cousins wedding and a recent choir concert. The wedding was beautiful and so was the choir performance. My only gripe about the Church is the set up and acoustics. There is a front alter and a back alter. The seating makes it hard to see and/or hear from both areas. I’m sure it serves some purpose to have the two areas separated, but I still have a hard time hearing and seeing; depending on which area I’m sitting and where the sound is coming from. Beautiful architecture inside, there are free organ concerts that you can enjoy when you come and visit. This year, I came there for mass of priest ordination and thanks giving of election of Pope Leo XIV. Attended mass that presided by new elected Bishop Jeffrey Grab. the church itself is beautiful, but the fact that i can’t bring my 90 year old grandfather communion back home to him is not only severely disappointing but disgusting as well. he is 90 YEARS OLD, he is not going to be able to walk through a church. how is this acceptable? just because he is unable to walk in to church he is therefore denied a chance to receive the body of christ? never...
