I recently had the pleasure of dining at Honest Indian Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the city, Honest Indian Restaurant offers an authentic taste of India that is hard to come by.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The decor is simple yet elegant, with traditional Indian elements that set the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, eager to guide us through the extensive menu.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of spectacular. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the chhole Bhathure, Kattapa sandwich, and pav bhaji, all of which were bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. Each dish was cooked to perfection, with rich, complex flavors that transported us straight to India.
One of the standout aspects of Honest Indian Restaurant is their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite tasted fresh and authentic, a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to culinary excellence. The portion sizes were generous, offering great value for money.
To top it all off, we ended our meal with traditional Indian desserts – faluda & mango lassi. Both were delightful and provided a sweet, satisfying end to a fantastic meal.
In summary, Honest Indian Restaurant is a gem that delivers on every front – exceptional food, impeccable service, and a welcoming ambiance. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings. Highly...
Read moreEdit: The restaurant has apparently improved their service, and the food is now mostly consistent taste and quality. Greatly appreciate being open to criticism and working towards a better experience. Bumping up the review to 5 starts. Only thing missing would be to add spice level options in food ordering apps.
————————————————————————- What started as a go-to spot for our weekly takeout has unfortunately turned into a disappointing experience over time. The quality has significantly declined, with noticeable inconsistency in taste, ingredients, and portion sizes.
A prime example is the Triple Schezwan dish, which used to be a favorite. These days, it's a gamble. Sometimes it comes with paneer, other times with Manchurian, and the taste seems to change with each order. There's clearly a lack of standardization in the kitchen.
Portion sizes are also wildly inconsistent. One day the to-go container is filled to the brim, and the next, it's barely half-full. It makes it really difficult to know how much to order, or what to expect.
As someone who has visited multiple Honest locations across the country, I can confidently say this branch offers the poorest service and quality. It’s truly disappointing to see a brand we once loved fail to deliver the basics of consistency and...
Read moreMy wife and I just went to Honest Milwaukee for the first time and were absolutely blown away by the food - had to share immediately.
This Bhaji Pav, which others had mentioned in their reviews, is one of the most flavor packed dishes I’ve had in my entire life. I’m honestly a little shook right now that I’ve never had this anywhere in my life.
Everything looks to be vegetarian, we didn’t know this going in and frankly it didn’t matter. We left very satisfied. Full in fact, and even took home 1/2 of our Chilli Garlic Noodles which I CAN NOT WAIT to finish!
I don’t know how long they’ve been there but I feel like I’ve just discovered gold and want to share it with my people.
The flavors were off the chart. Can’t wait to try more items, everything I saw making its way onto peoples tables looked amazing.
Samosas and mango lassi on point as well. I’m still drooling...
