If you’re looking for pizza with toppings different from the typical pepperoni, sausage, etc and quality of the pizza isn’t important to you then this is the perfect place for you.
Ian’s is where you can stumble in late at night after hitting the bars and grab a few slices of “unique” flavors like mac and cheese, buffalo chicken, hawaiian, etc. These flavor combos are not unlike pizza by the slice places I’ve gone to in Chicago and even Florida.
I stopped in and grabbed a couple slices of cheesy potato ranch. It definitely tasted like potato, cheese, and ranch. It also had a horrible flavor that tasted like old oil. Really off-putting and not worth finishing even in the inebriated state I was in. I figured I made a bad choice so I kept an open mind to trying it again.
Fast forward a week later and there was a stack of Ian’s pizza boxes at a party I went to. They had cheese and pepperoni so I figured why not give it another shot? I was in a much more level-headed state so maybe my head would be clearer to form an opinion. After having the first slice I had no desire to grab another piece. The crust is somehow crispy and unbelievably chewy with no flavor. Once you get towards the end of the slice it practically becomes inedible. There’s almost no rise to the crust which I think is the result of the crust’s texture. If the dough can’t rise then it becomes dense and chewy rather than a more tender crust which is what you want for pizza.
The toppings taste alright, but there’s much to be desired with Ian’s. If they can’t nail the simplest of pizzas like pepperoni then what does that say about the rest of their pizza?
This is the type of pizza I’ll eat if it’s there but it is not the first place I would go to if I’m craving good pizza. I give them a lot of credit for experimenting and being innovators with flavor combinations, however in my opinion there are other places that do...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I understand being busy, but I put in an order for 2 vegan mac slices at 730 for delivery. At 8 I called bc it hadn't even been confirmed and was saying at eta of 920pm. They told me that it would be there before 9 most likely, and 915 at the latest. I offered to come pick it up instead, and he told me it was a complicated process and he'd have to change the price and go get a manager and that the manager was across the street, etc. I was very gracious and said yeah don't do all that extra nonsense. I can wait 2 hrs. Thats fine. At 920 I call - my tracker says the order was just confirmed... same guy on the phone says it's been super busy, it's hectic, and he will check. I can hear his conversation and whomever he's asking keeps saying they don't know. But it looks like it's out for delivery... so he tells me it'll be there any minute. It's now 1030pm. It's still not even been made! Our tracker says so! Yall OWE US something at this point. Manager needs to go above and beyond to make this right. Qe didn't even get offered our money back!! I can understand being busy, but blatantly lying and gaslighting people isn't ok. How hard is it to check with the cooks and ACTUALLY find out if it's made. Or call the delivery driver to ACTUALLY confirm he has the order?! The extra 2 minutes is worth it for good customer service. Not offering my money back on the THIRD call in THREE...
Read moreCame here for my birthday date night with my fiance and we are both vegan so we were excited to taste a vegan made Za as there were many vegan options on the menu. The lady at the register almost got our order wrong from the start and waiting 30-35 minutes for our pizza, we would have been so disappointed if she brought a pizza we couldn't/wouldn't eat. The bread sticks were burnt and flavorless. The vegan ranch needs work. This was our first time so we weren't sure how it worked as we ordered and didn't get a number or wasn't sure if we had to go to the counter to pick it up or if they were going to drop it off. We told the cashier lady we were eating there and she dropped off the pizza and breadsticks in a box and said here you go, forgetting our vegan ranch and waters. No plates, napkins.... 🤔Just wasn't happy about our 1st experience and we are still talking about it on our way home. I feel if people are sitting down eating, maybe check in on people and see how everyone is doing and make sure people are enjoying their food. The pizza was good though and we appreciate vegan options just wasn't the best experience and most likey won't stop again. Best part of the experience was giving the rest of our pizza and breadsticks to a nice homeless gentleman...
