Starbucks is for Starbucks fans! With that being said, what differentiates any location from the other is basically location, and service. As far as I'm concerned, service is by far - the backbone of any food or beverage business. When service and menu are identical, as in most "fast serve franchises," we generally make our spending decisions on convenience. That is, LOCATION! Along with "ease of use." When considering these criteria, it would seem that all STARBUCK'S should be 5 Star?
What makes a STARBUCKS less favourable, comes down to inconsistentcies in service. Either poor customer service experience, or long lines. This conveniently located STARBUCKS, inside the downtown Metro Market grocery store is ideally located near the self serve & made to order deli. As well as ajacent to the south entrance, checkouts, cafeteria style dining area, and wine & beer sampling bar.
This STARBUCKS is the trifecta of LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Combined with a consistent, overall, high quality customer service experience. Who couldn't use a quick, convenient Cup of Joe, as a respite from shopping overload! Grab a Grande, pull up a chair & get caught up on the news on one of several TV's...
Read moreI had to think about this. I have had good positive experiences here, but the recent experience and the previous bad experiences sent me to a 3/5 stars.
The bad - Yesterday, I ordered 2 things -- Venti Cloud Macchiato and a Grande Cold Brew with Vanilla Foam. My Results: Venti weird combination that had weird white pellets at the bottom. The milk actually tasted a little expired? Left a bad taste in my mouth. (I have had the drink 3-4 times before and loved it then). The Cold Brew? That was an Iced Coffee. Completely messed up the order - but I am not one to go back and complain about a wrong order.
In the past I have also gotten the order out wrong or someone may not have heard me the first time. But this is a reoccurring issue, every time that I give this store another chance it is usually 1/3 of the time correct. Not great stats, but when you realize its better than 1/4...guess its worth it.

Read moreThe staff told me they were closing once i walked up due to staffing shortages. I asked if she could just ring up two cups, minimal effort. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and said No! Then walked off. I was told by metro market staff that i could ring the cups up at the counter. I went back and took the two cups to the front. The starbucks employee followed me to the front as i already rang the cups up and snatched them out of my hands. She started yelling in the store that she is gonna get fired today for having to deal with me. At this point the entire store was now paying attention to the scene caused by the employee. I then told her this could have all been avoided if she just could have rung me up at the starbucks counter. This employee refuses to work and is stealing company time.
