I'm there right now and it is the single worst hotel experience I've ever had. Im currently staying there for a wedding. I got in at 1am on a Thursday and they'd lost my reservation. I had to call my pregnant wife to wake her up so she could prove we had it (she was arriving the next night).
When my wife arrived on Friday afternoon they told her I'd checked out of my room (???) and put her into a new room. The new room has (im in it now on Saturday AM) strangely sticky floors, like hard to walk on sticky.
When my wife called to ask me why I'd checked out (we're here for a wedding and I was at the rehearsal), I called the hotel and they said my wife (who id emphasized on the phone is pregnant and it hasn't been an easy pregnancy) would have to pack up and move to the old room. I eventually convinced the woman at the desk to let me come and move my belongings myself later that day (they refused to do for me) and we hung up. 2 minutes later I got a call from my wife saying she was being kicked out of her room (with the stickiest floors imaginable - honestly it's like stepping on wet tar). After calling again they let her stay and I had to move my belongings after the wedding activities at 1am. Sweet. Also they never came to clean the sticky floors in spite of my request and them confirming they would.
Mistakes happen, but all of this has been without an apology and continuous. If they said sorry id be really annoyed at the repeated mistakes and frustrated, but I'd understand and wouldn't write this. But not once has anyone apologized and these mistakes seem to be born out of laziness more than anything else. Even when I just went to say we never got the wedding gift bag at checkin, they said I took it when I first checked in (I didn't) and refused to give me one, effectively saying I'm lying.
I will never stay at this hotel or another Marriott again unless im in a situation with no...
Read moreChecked in on 9/22/2022 for our (upgraded/9th floor) room accommodation for my nephews wedding. Our room rate was $239 per night. What did I expect for $239 a night? A clean room. What did we experience upon opening the door to our upgraded room- large food crumbs on the floor, two large (1'x2') dark black stains on the carpet, hair on the bed covers, and mold in the shower. Unacceptable, and we immediately returned to the front desk to state as such. The front desk staff apologized and issued us a different room. Upon opening the door of the second "upgraded" room what did we experience-- comparable (but slightly smaller) dark black stains on the carpet, slightly fewer food crumbs on the carpet, and black mold stains at the shower threshold and badly discolored shower tile grout. Strike two. Unfortunately, we had a wedding to attend and no other options. I have read through the management feedback from comparable reviews of poor condition and noticed that the persistent comment is along the lines of "this is not common." Well, it is clearly a pattern. Maintenance and cleaning standards are not a mystery, and these are obviously not outlier situations. I attempted to find a contact portal via the hotel website and was unsuccessful, so I shall leave my feedback here as a "buyer beware" for future guests. And to the hotel, please examine your housekeeping and maintenance supervisory staff- there is an issue with standards and quality control and it's extremely disappointing and quite shameful. Positive observations- we had a great server in your restaurant on the evening of 9/23; kind, patient, and professional. Cheers to...
Read moreIt’s unfortunate. I usually have very positive marriott experiences, but this was not one. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk was visibly under distress. She was on the phone with a former guest who was accusing the hotel that the valet people were driving their car around town. After several minutes, I was finally able to be checked in. Once I was, I asked the front desk for two bottles of water as it was a typical marriott practice for Gold Bonvoy Members. I was told there is no water in the room, that they have never done that and to just grab a bottle from the fridge. Ok… thank you for that.
I was also asked if I wanted my room to be cleaned and I said yes.
Arrived to my room… the bathroom shower was gross. Pink on the shower floor…. I was too tired to ask for a room change .. and i will definitely be needing lotrimin. Gross.
Further the shower is terribly designed. You turn it on and immediately get wet, even if the shower head is turned towards the wall. Great way to wake up with a cold splash though!
I got to work the next day.. 17 hours I come back.. room is not cleaned. Why would you ask me if I wanted my room cleaned if you are not going to clean it?
And did I mention the pink in the shower floor…. GROSS!!!
Oh and breakfast… they close at 9am (hotels typically offer it until 10:30am)….. and there is no room service between 9am-12pm….
Terrible...
