I am honestly shocked that people are rating this place so high.

My husband and I eat at comparably priced places in the twin cities all the time. All saints is failing in comparison to similar types of restaurants. There are clear glimmers of brilliance, but the inconsistency in service experience and food and drink quality makes them a poor choice by comparison

I was there last night for my second time, and, just like the first time, the drinks were hit or miss. They were either watery or lacked balance badly. My favorite dish the last time I came was the beets, which were perfectly charred and dressed, with a beautiful sauce on the bottom. This time, they were almost steamed, not charred, not dressed, and with not enough sauce or seasoning. We were served undercooked shrimp, although the sauce on the bottom was amazing. Our fries seemed about halfway made up of tiny fry fragments, perhaps made earlier in the evening and refried to warm them for our plate. The result was many pieces of oily, chewy and hard fries. The harissa chicken was a knockout. Very delicious.

But there was a serious wait problem: not seeing the server for 20 plus minutes at a time, being there for about 2 hours with very slow service, and only getting half of our plates at a time, waiting another 30 to 45 for our second set of plates. I looked around, and saw many unhappy tables, and almost no food. I also kept my eye out for a manager, because you can usually see them walking around and checking things out. No one seemed in charge, and no one seemed to be checking on the disposition of the entire patio, where everyone seemed to be waiting very long. It didn't seem like a busyness problem. The inside of the restaurant was almost empty.

We did not mention to the server how bad our experience was, because he seems so oblivious. He never once acknowledged or apologized for the wait times or disappearing for so long. It just seemed like if we tried to talk about how many problems there were with the meal, we would have either been dismissed, or they would have tried to fix it, and it'd probably just add another hour or two to our wait time. We had already missed our next activity for the night waiting on our food. So the best thing to do seemer like to get out of there and never return. The only thing worse than having an experience this poor would be trying to tell them that your experience was poor, and then be written off or given more bad food. We avoided that because we didn't want to be in a worse mood than we already were.

I truly dislike writing bad reviews, so I rarely do. I just never return. However, I hate worse the idea that families with special occasions, birthdays, use their hard-earned money to come to so- called fancy restaurants with higher price points like this and experience style- over substance. It was a drag to pay that kind of money and leave dissatisfied when we could have gone so many other places in the twin cities that have consistent great food and service. If you have a special occasion, or don't have 2 to 3 hours to wait for your food,...

2025/09/13: this is the place that my wife wants to celebrate her BD with our special friends. Our server, Matt H, was fantastic, and so were Marcy and Katie. The cocktails were really good! We sample almost all of the small plates and the top three are: Salt & Pepper Mushrooms, Duck Confit, Golden Beets. The Zucchini Panzanella, Hamachi Crudo, Haloumi, Grilled Shrimp, Fried Chicken, French Fries, Flanken Short Ribs, Grilled Swordfish, Scallops, Grilled Broccolini were also outstanding. Thanks for making our night a special one.

2024/09/13: back with our friends celebrate my wife's BD. The restaurant is very accommodating, we got the large table by the kitchen and Kim (co-owner) offered to make a Chocolate with Chocolate Buttercream cake for us (which tastes fantastic). Our group sampled (almost) shared items on the menu and the 2 out-of-town guests really liked the Golden Beets! If you want a great place to celebrate a special event that offers fabulous foods, All Saints will not disappoint. Our server, Kitty, was efficient, friendly and kind.

2023/08/24: back with our friends. We ordered Salt & Pepper Mushrooms (5/5), Grilled Pea Salad (4/5), Halloumi (5/5), Grilled Shrimp (4/5), Cauliflower Sformato (5/5), Mushroom Pappardelle (5/5), Summer Squash (5/5), and Grilled Pork Chop (5/5). Our server, Kitty, was a pro. It was good to shake hand with Kim T after our meal. This place is a gem in our neighborhood.

2022/11/14: we had an early dinner with our friends. The Salt & Pepper Mushrooms and Halloumi were very good - I became a fan of the mushrooms appetizers. The Pappardelle, a good vegetarian entree option, for me and Flanken Short Rib for my wife; both were good, not spectacular. The most disappointed dish was the Braised Turnips, they were tough and flavorless. Our server, Austin, was great and also we had a friendly chat with the friendly host/owner Kim Tong. With all the new restaurants available in the area, this Vegetable Forward restaurant has a special place in my heart. Service: 5/5, Food: 4/5, Ambience: 5/5 (the place was packed when we left around 7:30PM)

2022/7/8: we went back and sat out on the patio this time. A perfect day to dine outdoor with friends with a light breeze. The level of service remains top notch (thank you Clare A and others). We ordered: Green Tomato Salad (so good, you must try it), Salt & Pepper Mushrooms (this dish remains constantly delicious), Grilled Asparagus (I cannot taste the anchovy in the ranchovy), Yukon Potatoes (decent), Grilled Shrimp (if you like heat, this dish is for you), Fried Chicken (tender bites of chicken with harrisa honey), French Fries (I really like them 'cuz they are so crispy), Charred Cucumbers (a bit too much whipped ricotta for me), and Flanken Short Ribs (I was disappointed with this dish: tastes a bit salty, cannot taste the sweet from the meet, and the soy pickled shiitake mushrooms saltiness overpowers the taste of the short ribs). Service: 5/5, Food: 4.5/5, Ambience: 5/5. Thanks for a good meal.

My dining experience is based on a Tuesday night dinner at 7 p.m. on December 10, 2024 with my nephew. This is my first visit to All Saints and I absolutely love this place. The food is phenomenal and the service was great and attentive. The dining room is intimate and the volume can be quite loud if the restaurant is full, but it was a beautiful atmosphere.

My nephew and I are not big alcohol drinkers so I can’t comment on the quality of the cocktails. We spent our money on the food, which is fantastic. The menu doesn’t specifically categorize appetizers and main entrees, but they are sort of grouped together. It’s a great place to have smaller bites and try a little bit of everything, which my nephew and I did.

For the smaller plates, we ordered the Golden Beets, Grilled Shrimp, and Fried Chicken. The main entrees we ordered were the Grilled Branzino and Pappardelle.

Golden Beets: I love to eat meat, but this tied with the fried chicken as my favorite small plate. Golden beets are yellow instead of a red, like a red beet. I can taste the earthiness of the beets and it paired extremely well with the creaminess of the burrata and the Serrano vinaigrette (not spicy).

Fried Chicken- This is a must try. It’s basically chicken thighs which are juicier and more flavorful than white chicken breast. The chicken had a good crunch and went really well with the slightly sweet harissa honey. It’s phenomenal.

Grilled Shrimp- the shrimp was cooked perfectly, not under- or over-cooked. It is spicy, but has a good flavor.

My favorite dish was the mushroom bolognese pappardelle. I make my bolognese with the traditional meats, but this bolognese didn’t make me miss any meat. The mushroom gives the dish a huge umami flavor and the texture reminds me of a slow cooked beef bolognese. Also, the dish was perfectly seasoned- not too salty or under seasoned.

Grilled Branzino- I love the flavor and texture of Branzino fish. The char on the fish didn’t have a burned acrid taste, but good flavor. The sauce didn’t overpower the flavor of the fish- it was a nice accompaniment.

I had a great time at All Saints and I would definitely take my wife and son here on...

For my wife’s birthday, we chose All Saints in Northeast Minneapolis and dined with two friends. From start to finish, we were thoroughly impressed by the delicious menu and inviting ambiance. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor. We began with the Golden Beets —a standout dish featuring burrata, serrano vinaigrette, and dukkah. The combination of earthy beets, creamy burrata, and tangy vinaigrette made for a delightful bite that we’d happily order again. Next came the Steelhead Tartare, served with sea beans, dill cream, and Old Bay chips. The fresh, delicate tartare paired beautifully with the crispy chips, creating a well-balanced dish. My only comlant was the chips were overly salted and burned the taste buds on my tounge which over power the tartare. Two of our favorite small plates were the Salt & Pepper Mushrooms with scallion dip-dip and the Flanken Short Ribs. The mushrooms were perfectly crisp, and the dip added a flavorful depth. The short ribs, served with soy-pickled shiitake mushrooms, had a rich, smoky profile, and the tangy pickled mushrooms complemented the tender meat wonderfully. The Scallops, paired with carrot hummus and walnut tabouli, were seared beautifully and cooked to perfection. For our mains, we shared: NY Strip – Served with crispy fingerling potatoes and chermoula. The steak was expertly cooked, but the crispy potatoes and flavorful reduction sauce stole the show. Grilled Branzino – Accompanied by smoked shoyu soubise and nori, delivering a unique umami-packed experience. Half Chicken – Served with roasted sunchokes and bacon-mustard vinaigrette, reminiscent of a Thanksgiving dinner with its rich, comforting flavors. The chicken was juicy and tender. Beyond the incredible food, the ambiance at All Saints is intimate and modern—perfect for anything from casual nights out to special celebrations. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and added to the overall experience. We orders a round of cocktails and 2 bottles of wine and our total meal with 20% tip was around $500; If you haven't been All Saints is a must-visit in Minneapolis.
