I have very "middle of the road" feelings about Caribou. Not my favorite coffee shop, but better than others. I chose to go to Caribou this time because I had a gift card. The U.S. Bank Plaza location is a very busy location in the morning, and they generally have enough staff to minimize the wait time, which is great. However, it seems that they need to increase the amount of refrigerated food available. They were completely wiped out of yogurt parfaits and fruit when I came through the line, so all I had to choose from were baked goods. Would have preferred something healthier. They should look at increasing their supply considering the high demand in a skyway location. I opted for banana bread instead, and found that they had changed the recipe from the last time I had ordered it, and the quality was nowhere near what I had expected. They should switch the recipe back immediately. 3 stars because I wasn't pleased with my trip to Caribou, but as I've already stated, I didn't expect much from...

But today was something else. The cashier was especially cold and dismissive. Wouldn't even look at me and then mis-entered my order. The barista then made the wrong drink. When I pointed it out, they apologized and made the right drink but wrong size. When I pointed THAT out, they got the right size, but huffed a bit and let me know I'm responsible for confirming my order on their screen. Fair enough. I apologize for the trouble. But then I try the drink and I'm pretty sure they just added water and steamed it.
I guess next time I'll order online so I don't have to deal with their staff mishearing me. Better yet, I'll just make my own coffee, so I don't have to deal with...
Read moreI am very disappointed with a software change Caribou has made to its cash register system. The staff can no longer tell me how many rewards points I have when I place and order. Staff told me the software only tells them if I qualify for a size upgrade or a free drink. Very disappointing. Also, I have switched to ordering my Matcha Lattes at Starbucks. Starbuck's goes not charge extra for alternate milks of oat milk, soy milk or coconut milk. Your Caribou Matcha Lattes are approximately 30 to 40 cents more...
