The Burger Place — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I used to love The Burger Place. They moved locations and things changed. The food is still amazing. I still have yet to find a better burger anywhere. Seriously, these things are m effing awesome. However, at the new location it takes FOREVER to get your food. It was a 45 minute wait today to get a burger. Keep in mind this is at the peak lunch hour in the skyway system downtown, but that's pretty much the only time I have available to get food during the day. As I write this they've been in the new location for about 3 months and, for the sake of these amazing burgers, I will hold hope that they are still working out some kinks. These are really good burgers but if you have to spend 45 minutes waiting you might just be too angry to enjoy your food. They throw your food in a box like your cattle. They make the sandwiches so sloppy you can barely pick it up out of the box, and if you complain, the owner will argue with you about why your are unhappy. I tried the breakfast, very greasy and took it back, tried the chicken sandwich very sloppy and just so so, they still cook it with the burgers so you get the greasy burger taste on your grilled chicken, and today I tried the grilled cheese (thinking they can't mess that up), and it was made with that oil they put on the grill instead of butter or marg. and the bread tasted so bad of the oil I had to throw out and to top off the oil taste the cheese was not melted very good just enough to keep the bread from pulling apart and the fries were ice cold. I have had breakfast from here a few times and at first things were fine but recently the service has been lacking. I placed an order for hashbrowns with cheese and a side of toast. Lately, they are only providing one jelly for 4 triangles of toast. If they are going to charge $1.50 for two pieces of toast, then put two jelly containers in there. It is hard to stretch one jelly that far lol. Also, the cook always puts my toast on top of my hashbrowns with cheese so then my toast is cheesy too. Not my favorite.
