First off, let me state that this review is based upon dozens of visits to this location over different days and different times. I usually refrain from posting negative reviews about any restaurant. I was in restaurant management for many years and realize any restaurant can have an off day and doesn't deserve to have their ratings drop due to one bad experience. BUT.....this particular Chipotle is quite possibly the worse ran Chipotle in the entire state! If you are part of the management team of this particular location, you really should be ashamed of how you run this store. More often than not, when I go in here, there MIGHT be ONE employee out of many that acts like they really give a hoot about their job. I always feel sorry for the rare one that you have that does. They are surrounded by stupidity every day! Secondly, there is absolutely no process management of any kind going on. Web orders and delivery orders like mine are frequently waiting 30-45 minutes beyond the expected pick-up time. The problem lies in the fact that the employees spend so much time taking care of orders from people in line, that the web orders are an after thought. Why you don't do every other order as a web order is beyond me. Watch your cameras and see how many times there are at least 6 or more people waiting forever for their orders. Secondly, your yields at this store must be outrageously out of line. I see many of your employees just use way too much or far too little product in each bowl or burrito. Next, your systems constantly have issues, so often I see free orders just handed off to customers because your system is down. Next, why do you not have a drink station in your secondary pick up area?! Your employees or worse yet, your customers need to go to the main area to get their drinks. How inefficient and annoying is that?! Also, there is absolutely no consistency on when this area is even open. Lastly, for God sake....where ARE the managers?? You leave your employees completely without help or leadership. I don't recall the last time I went in there during a busy dinner or weekend shift and actually saw a person that remotely resembled some sort of leader. Are you hiding back in your office? WTH? For the love of God, fix...
Read more--To preface this lunch decision was decided by a gifted $25 Chipotle gift card while ordering through the Chipotle app. I wouldn't of come here otherwise.--
I don't come to this location often as every time I do get food its a gamble to whether or not they actually have the ingredients you want.
Got home from a trip, decided to grab some food to go. Place the order a bit away while stuck in traffic.
All ingredients show available on the app, in-store it could be a mix of one protein being made right now with it being out of stock for customers or they just don't outright have it nor will they prep it at all from what the constant display of the food area shows.
Fajitas don't exist here. Every time I try to order it through the app where it shows as available and if you order through pickup you don't get to find out what's missing until you get home and start to eat. I don't think I should have to dissect a burrito prior to its delivery just to figure out if I got my money's worth or I should've just gone to an locally owned Mexican restaurant instead. (You should.)
If something is messed up you can go through the whole chat-bot Pepper and using the email receipt you can essentially pick out what went wrong and it'll generate some reward in their app as compensation.
I'm genuinely surprised it gave me an free entree reward, previous visits it has only given maybe a drink at best with about two weeks to use or lose it. I feel like I burned a gift card on a disappointing meal for two and received one possibly good meal from the same folks who prepped it before.
Its just this location that I've had issues with. I can go to the other two Chipotle locations near Minneapolis and genuinely have had no issues with their food. This location just happens to be closest to where I live and it just is disappointing every time you take a first open or a first bite of your meal.
Go to another location in the area or better yet go to an actual locally owned Mexican restaurant and enjoy your food as opposed to what is...
Read moreI hate to do this but here comes another long negative review. There is a reason why this place has so many bad reviews, plain and simple the customer service is awful. I have been to this location at least a dozen times and every single time the employees act like you (the customer) are asking them to go out of their way to do their JOB. Almost every time I get a burrito they rip it and then I ask for a new tortilla (not a double wrap because that isn’t what I ordered) and the employee acts like my request is absurd and somehow makes me feel bad about asking for a new tortilla.
My most recent experience (the last time I will ever go to this Chipotle) was particularly bad. I waited almost 30 minutes with maybe 10 people in front of me, it was unbelievable. Not ONE employee noticed how slow it was and there was ZERO sense of urgency or leadership. No manager to be found.
Employee 1,“We need more chicken!” Employee 2, “The chicken is in the back!” Employee 1 proceeds to pout and then NOT get the chicken. Employee 2 brings the chicken a couple minutes later and slams it on the counter and looks at employee 1 with evil eyes. The tension between them was incredible as I stood there dumbfounded and waiting.
The lack of care is truly why this Chipotle is the worst one I have ever been to. No more will I spend $10 for a horrible customer experience, long wait time, a soggy burrito, and an odd sense that I am somehow asking too much of these employees to do their job. Absolute garbage.
Whoever manages this Chipotle is doing an AWFUL job and it shows through their employees attitude. I will take my money elsewhere and support a properly run Chipotle. I strongly suggest you do the same.
Worth noting - the food quality and ingredients are fine, just getting the food in the first place is what needs some...
