Bobby Bead — Local services in Minneapolis

I absolutely loved this place & had been coming here for years. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store, happily. Now they have some racist bald dude working there bragging about his gf in the Philippines as he asked my 5 year old son if we put salt on our dogs when we eat them & interrogated him for an excessive amount of time about whether or not video games are helpful for school in a very demeaning way. Not to mention that construction has made it extremely difficult to park / access the store for the past 2 years. I've had to park up to 5 blocks away! I'm actually not even sure if this store is indigenously owned to be honest anyways. It's very unfortunate because I have loved this place for so long but will probably find a store where employees aren't going to be racist towards me.

**Edit to add that what you said was NOT misconstrued on my part. Associating indigenous people with eating dogs is a well known racial stereotype.

Unfortunately I do not live anywhere near to Bobby Bead the physical store so my experience with this business is as an on-line customer. I frequently order from this company and have always been satisfoed with the items I have ordered. Never had a reason to return a thing. When I had questions I called the store and was given very detailed information assisting me to complete my purchase. Their selection of Toho and the special Aiko beads is outstanding. I especially love the Aiko Gilt Marbled series of colors. I was using the Turq. Gilt Aiko#1703 at a beading group last week and everyone just had to know what I was using and where to buy them. this place is Awesome! Even if your arn't a pro you can still stretch your creative wings and make something fun! Hey they can even show you as well as, on occasion, set you up with private instruction! Boby Bead has been a main-stay in uptown for years! Iv even had mom n kid days too! Many professional artisans shop as well as display their artwork both for sale and display for encouragement! This is my go-to spot for "moms fix-its"! I shop and thrift a lot! When I find a deal on jewelry at my favorite thrift store Goodwill Warehouse, Bobby Bead is where I go to find clasps, matching color, and Ideas to "upcycle" great Goodwill finds into fabulous! Plus I can make some pretty amazing bangles from their baubles without breaking my pocket book! Bobby Bead is the perfect match...
