i have mixed feelings with my experience overall. i’ll start by saying i’m not usually a review writer in general so this is out of character for me. i love crisp and green but had never been to this location. went with a friend and we both ordered ahead as we were a 15 minute drive away and figured it would be quicker and easier than having to wait in line. we got there and i ended up ordering a drink because i was thirsty (they don’t take cash right now but i have apple pay so it was fine, just something to note) and then we stood waiting for our orders. we got there right at the time they were scheduled to be ready and we looked on the order ahead shelving but nothing was there. my friend thought maybe they had app difficulties with their order so after some waiting we asked an employee if their order was ready and after a few minutes they retrieved it from the back. i stood around waiting for my order for another 10 or so minutes before finally asking an employee if mine was ready. she said “let me go check” and proceeded to continue helping people in line and making other orders instead. a few more minutes later she said “wait what was the name for that again?” and so i told her and then eventually they brought it out. my salad was missing toppings that i had paid for and on top of that they had substituted peppers/corn/onions mix when i had ordered just the roasted corn. normally i wouldn’t mind and i am not a karen but this was especially upsetting because i am allergic to onions. me and my friend spent a good chunk of time picking them out but i did not feel good about eating the salad. we ended up talking to an employee who was very apologetic and sweet about it and remade my salad (shoutout to them!!) but i was disappointed in the carelessness. allergies are serious and i am not anaphylactic but somebody else...
Read moreI love the Crisp and completely understand that there are staffing shortages and challenges across the nation right now, but this location unfortunately seems to have issues every time I order. I never rate anything but I thought people should know.
Similar to someone who commented 3 months ago, the employees don’t seem to listen when you give any customizations for your salad. Today, my boyfriend picked up a salad and while explaining one swap, the employee wasn’t able to keep it straight. I completely understand that these things happen but 1. we paid extra for an ingredient that wasn’t added and 2. This is definitely not the first time this has happened. When we called back to let them know and that we’d like a refund, the employee wasn’t sure what to do (again, I totally get it he could have been newer and they might have been busy).
The salads are usually passed down the line so when you tell the first person what you want, you end up repeating your order several times and you have to have them go back and add something that was forgotten. There’s one girl working who makes the salads so quickly that she forgets multiple ingredients. Other times, I just have to remind the workers that there’s a certain ingredient that they left out.
When you’re paying $15+ for a salad, I think it’s fair to expect that the salad you’re ordering will be right.
All of this to say, I love Crisp and their salads and highly recommend, but this location definitely needs some...
Read moreOrdering via Postmates makes it impossible to edit the items on the menu. The only thing I can do is add to the bowl for an upcharge, but not remove things or switch out the proteins, for example. I'm vegan so I need to switch out the chicken for tofu and I cannot do it.
This forces me to "build my own" which ends up being more expensive than just ordering it from the menu itself. This seems discriminatory and predatory.
Aside from that, I've received meals with burned chicken, hard unripe avocados, just an entire half an avocado plopped into the bowl (uncut, unsliced?) and sometimes simply missing protein from the bowl entirely. I recently paid $21 for a "build your own" bowl that arrived with just rice, bacon bits, and cheese. No protein which made the "meal" inedible. Postmates only refunded me for the $5 worth of chicken which is insane to me.
The quality control at this location needs to be improved, especially given the price of this food. I've been going to Crisp&Green for years, in different cities, and I love the food when it's correct. This location is less than a mile away from where I live, so I want to be able to get correct orders from here, but this is enough to make me not order again because of how expensive it is and it's always wrong or just a...
